The HORRIFYING El Toro Rollercoaster Derailment Tragedy at Six Flags

Visiting an amusement park is a thrilling escape from the everyday. But when a day of excitement and fun turns into a day of uncertainty and fear, it can be a life-altering experience. What could go wrong on a seemingly harmless summer day at Six Flags Great Adventure?

It was a typical summer afternoon on June 29, 2021, at least that’s what the park-goers thought as they went about their business. The thrill seekers were seeking their next thrill, kids were running around laughing as they went from one ride to the other. The smell of popcorn, sweet cotton candy, hotdogs, and funnel cakes filled the air as traders tried to make a sale. And the next set of passengers at the popular roller coaster, El Toro, boarded the train only to be greeted by an unexpected disaster mid-trip.

While en route on what was meant to be yet another blood-pumping adventure, one of the cars of the train derailed, leaving them dangling from the air and filling them all with a sense of doom and uncertainty.

The screams of joy quickly transformed into that of pure terror as the ride became the scene of a tragic accident. Would the riders make it out alive, or would they become just another statistic in Intamin’s history of failed rides?

This is the tragic tale of the horrible El Toro accident.

  1. At the very start of this video I wonder if it was maybe some counterfeit replacement parts? I've recently jumped into a very deep rabbit hole of the "counterfeit industry", gesus! Absolutely everything in our whole world has some bad people trying to make money off of counterfeiting parts. I'm talkin' everything from baby formula, medication to vehicle brakes, pads & shoes to frickin' airplane engine parts!
Yeah, there are entire wings of government in place to find these parts & stop them before they're actually used! The scary things are not everyone realizes this happens & sometimes these parts are extremely hard to tell by just looking at them. However, 0 when they're broken open to be inspected, there's often weird things inside like dirt, drywall compound, debrey, hair & wonky types of metals being used. Ffs, actual fake AIRPLANE ENGINE PARTS! 😳
One of these times it IS gonna be unknown counterfeit roller coaster parts that fail on one of these videos. Oh nope wait a sec, actually there was one already, in Mexico… THAT was what derailed & killed those 2 completely innocent, young men. Fa-king gross. 😣

  2. I'm sorry but this just, isn't great coverage. I'm not sure if details got mixed up with the 2022 accident or what. 1 I get it, there's only so much B roll footage available, but during important points, maybe having the footage at least be of the right coaster would be good, and most of the photos/videos of the accident times seem to be of the 2022 accident. Not the 2021 accident. 2 only one car derailed, the back car. There were 6 people who had some injuries (not sure of the exact extent, a few broken bones possibly I'd think), but no one else had anything more than maybe some strains and a shit ton of fear and possible trauma. 2 it vallyed (vallied? Vallyied?) After a hilll amd rippped up the track, but luckily the car actually stopped in a relatively good position, not dangling. If you looked at the photos from the accident, it would be very obvious. 3 this completely neglects to mention the 2022 accident, which I feel like if you had to mention those other unrelated ones, mentioning these both would be important, especially considering that one is quite bad too.

This accident was terrifying to those on board, and it likely left them with trauma from the event, but no more than 6 people had physical injuries that weren't life altering I believe. EltoroRyan has an amazing video on both accidents, with many more details, and its not hard to find the accident photos that aren't at all gruesome or gorey. This was a very bad coverage of the event.

Edit to add: well I was wrong about one thing, no one was actually hurt. At all. Very minor injuries at best. The 2022 accident had injuries. The car was dragged across some of the layout before vallying, but everyone ended up ok. Here's the eltororyan video on the first accident, he has a whole playlist of news and speculation https://youtu.be/tcHZaH3QJRg

  3. WARNING ON CLICK BAIT ON THIS BULLSHIT VIDEO!

There are so many false claims and holes going on here that I hope Intamin Inc. and Six Flags see this video and sue the shit out of you for false statements.

You probably never been to the parks or let alone been in the country. Get a real job POS!

  4. I bet the odds of one of these unforseen events is about the same as getting hit by lightning. Yeah they improved the ride but until it happens how could they have known? I'm not sticking up for six flags here but in the UK we have a clause in H&S law which is all reasonable precautions.

  5. So I can appreciate the story and all, and even that it was surely a terrifying ordeal…. but don't you think that labeling this as a disaster or tragedy is a bit on the over exaggerated side of what this event really was?

  6. This video is showing footage from the second accident and it talking about the derailment from the prior year. The car was also not hanging from the track, one of the wheels came above the track. This video exaggerated and mixes up information.

  7. Dude….Dear Infamous Accidents; There was sooooo much footage of NOT the El Toro (made clear coz El Toro is a wooden coaster scenes of iron coasters kept playing) I had to stop this video so I can find a better telling of the story.

  8. It seemed like to me (and many others) that after 2020 there were terrible amusement park accidents, so I automatically thought, they didn’t keep up on maintenance as they usual would’ve bc of the loss in 2020. A horrible decision that I’m sure these amusement parks right away regretted
