The Senatorum Imperialis (officially the Lords Temporal, Martial and Ecclesiarchical of the Most Divine and Righteous Imperium of Mankind) collectively form the Council of the High Lords of Terra. The Senatorum is an Imperial governing body led by twelve leaders of the most powerful organisations of the Imperium. This body rules the Imperium in the Emperor’s name. The Senatorum itself is composed of tens of thousands of Imperial dignitaries, nobleman, lords, and other officials, but these rarely meet and instead the “High Twelve” conduct the vast majority of affairs.

The task of the High Lords is to interpret and enact the will of the Emperor. Accordingly, the position of High Lord was the most powerful in the Imperium until the reemergence of Roboute Guilliman, who declared himself Imperial Regent, or the Emperor’s Living Voice.

  1. I think it has been awhile since I've laughed as hard as I did in regards to Paul Rudd and Lorgar…goodness me! Always enjoy your contents and I shall endeavor to continue to listen and support for as long as I can. Unfortunately my hearing loss is getting worse and you're beautiful voices are going away…lmfao.

  2. To give a slightly more detailed happening of the beheading. High assassin guy was placed in charge of the high lords by the then chapter master of the imperial fists (who was actually the chapter master of the fist or first exemplars because the the last chapter master of the imperial fists and last actual original imperial fist was killed by the beast) and told to keep them from in fighting which caused huge problems for the war. Well the second the fists were gone and peaced the infighting and plotting happened again which kind of broke the assassin leader because they literally just saw what they could do together and that the infighting had caused… so he set up a plan to kill/control/replace the high lords. Those he couldn’t control he had killed (assassination and tricking into committing suicide) those he could control he did (he kept the inquisition rep he was in love with prisoner and legitimized the fabricator general who did tech heresy and moved his mind to a computer.) and then replaced them all with people loyal . This lasted for a century until assassin leader went insane. Fists came back to deal with it. Where yeah.. 1 man standing.

  3. "TYRANNY IS ALWAYS BETTER ORGANIZED THAN FREEDOM" It's actually not the Nazi's were actually really bad at getting the "trains to run on time" as it were. It just doesn't get mentioned much because of all of their infinity more greater crimes.

  4. Actually… the Navigator High Lord person is NOT an important figure. In the Space Wolf omnibus about that Ragnar Blackmane dude, it's explored and made note of that it's always a weak-person and lesser-house Navigator that is elected, cuz none of the major houses wants their rivals to sit on that amount of power… so a figurehead is chosen from some no-one-cares little house and he/she is used for that purpose and accepts ALL the bribes from the major houses and elects some laws or deals with certain issues a certain way to keep the balance of the houses in check.

  5. No, the worse choices for Gulliman would be Jim Carrey or Mike Myers, he's already so over the top, anyone who routinely eats decor for breakfast shouldn't be considered
