The Head Of King Louis XVI – The King Of France

The French Revolution was a pivotal moment in History as the civilian population around the country rose up and sought to abolish their monarchy. No-one would have anticipated the bloodshed that occurred after as the Reign of terror emerged across France, with around 17,000 people being led to the guillotine inside of different cities and towns. Dozens a day were being executed as figures such as Robespierre wanted to stamp out every piece of monarchist sympathy as they could. But this was in the aftermath of the execution of the French King Louis XVI, and he was a king who was not perfect and he attracted a huge amount of hatred and criticism from his subjects. But Louis XVI would be led to the guillotine himself where an executioner took his head clean off. But following his death, a mould of his head would be cast and this was done by the infamous Madame Tussaud, and it shows a rather haunting image of the King in his final moments.

  1. Your history sounds loaded and thus biased. It doesnt mention what lead him being accused of treason-literally exercising his rights that the revolutionaries gave him. The king was so compliant with everything that there is no way he can do treason but against himself. The king was killed on the same bogus charges as people like robespierre were in turn, except revolutionaries were guilty against the king if not against revolutionary gov while the king innocent. He also didnt just lavishly spend money as most of the turmoil was caused by nobility demanding return on the money they gave the king…which they were supposed to since hes king. But 16th was only nominal king unlike his grandfather and father. So nobility proceeded to tax the fuck out of the people. The kings guilt was in not reigning in his gov., too nice. To boot, these were atheists who started the whole movement, thinking they can be perfect humans if they just removed old regime. The same happened in russia when the tsar was killed. Atheists who hate religion and its gov style thinking they can improve if only they removed religious barriers. Instead, millions died for nothing more than looking at someone the wrong way on accident, just as french revolutionaries were butchered by their comrades. Mao, hitler, stalin, etc. Atheism and its revolutions are disastrous and inhumane. More people died worldwide from it than all crusades and jihads combined, all because man gets to decide who is it moral to kill off.

  2. As already mentioned, Frances help to the American Colonies for independence, cost France not just financially but politically. The turmoil which insued the revolution resulted in the terror and the rise of Napoleon. Tragic how so many lost their lives.

  3. Madame Tussaud-infamous? What made her infamous?
Surely famous or now globally known attraction.

The poor use of the English language by this channel should see it removed from YT.

This is at the same intellectual level as a child’s primary school presentation

  4. A fine monarch, both liberal to his people and the times. He was a devout and pius Roman Catholic and ruled France better than most, indeed far better than his murderers were too. He died a martyrs death and a true historical review of Louis is quickly awed by his faithfulness and desire to help his people.
As so often occurs, when a king is turned into a martyred one, he was followed by a blood thirsty regime that lacked humanity or any hope for its people. The terror led the way to disaster and its vicious cruelty knew no bounds.

  6. In the first years of the revolution, it was not about killing the king but building a constitutional monarchy like in England. At fisrt King refused, then agreed, then at the end tried to cheat on French, fleeing to Austrian troops to get his power back.

  7. The French Revolution (1789) was driven by a philosophical ideology based on that of the so-called Age of Enlightenment. Masonic in nature, it sought to overthrow the Christian social order & replace it with a liberal & false ideology of liberty, equality & fraternity. In short, a rebellion against God-derived authority.

  8. Its disgusting. And even more so is the abominable pronunciation of the narrator, even in English.
Atrocious in French ! For Gods sake, can't you get people with an intelligent pronunciation for these videos….?!
Thank goodness, the revolutionary mess was superseded by the Napoleonic régime which resto-
red order and put France on a solid basis,on which it has been standing ever since.Despite all upheavals that have happened since.

  9. Madame Tussaud did not make a wax mold of Louis XV's decapitated head. She never claimed to have done so. This claim only appears after her death, when her sons revamped the "Chamber of Horrors," and suddenly put Marie Antoinette and Louis XVI's heads in the chamber. Prior to this, they had only been in the 'royalty' section, with figures that included their children, described as being done from life. This fact applies to your video about Marie Antoinette as well.

  10. Louis XVI was not the last King of France as narrated in the video. Louis Philippe I (1773–1850) of the house of Bourbon, was the eldest son of Louis Philippe, Duke of Orléans, known during the Revolution as Philippe-Egalité. His father supported the French Revolution but was nevertheless guillotined. In spite of his burgeoning military career, Louis-Philippe was forced to flee France in 1793, and spent twenty one years in exile in various countries. He reigned as King of France from 1830 to 1848 in what was known as the July Monarchy, after Charles X was forced to abdicate. He married Princess Maria Amalia, daughter of the King of Naples in 1830. Louis-Philippe himself was forced to abdicate in 1848 and lived in exile at Claremont House, Esher, in England, until he died in 1850. He was the last King to rule France.

  11. I think the French revolution had everything to do with a small number of men wanting power and nothing to do with famine. The people were simply manipulated into carrying out the will of power-hungry men.

  13. The Extraterrestrials have a rejuvenational medical technology called a GOO CHAMBER , all they need to recreate the whole body is " the head" or just DNA , my theory is the executions were created for this purpose. They were collecting the heads of German freshly deceased in the early 16th century, for off world human colonies.

  14. Just before execution, some of the unfortunate (or not) victims would often reach orgasm. There are stories of men ejaculating copious amounts before being hanged, and sometimes even during hanging.

  16. Marie Antoinette never said those silly words; "Let them eat cake , if they have no bread!" She was unusually kind to her maids.. Both she and the King marched bravely and quietly to be cruelly executed
Robespierre screamed all the way to the Guillotine as he had botched his suicide attempt…
