In today’s video, we’re taking a look at all of the latest news, surrounding the on-going Duel refurbishment works at Alton Towers! The original Haunted House opened at the park in 1992, bringing with it, a brand new area, Gloomy Wood. In the early 2000’s, the ride received a re-theme to Duel, however, in recent years this ride has been screaming out for a refurbishment! I can’t wait to see what the park have planned here!

Great video, I’m a new (ish) subscriber to your channel and it’d be cool to see the attraction go back to what it used to be but a more modernised version of it
I don't believe that the refurb will be Too big like from Bubbleworks to the gruffalo, but I think it'll be a bit bigger than Tomb Blasters 2020 refurb. If the ride would change so significantly that it wouldn't be recognisable, I'm sure the Park would post Duels closing date publicly on their social media to let most guests know. When I went yesterday, most people didn't even know it was shut.
I'd love to see it revert to the HH but have a few new scenes put in there were Duel scenes were like the Zombie Windows scene, skeleton Corridor and the Lab Finale. Outside of that, I'd love them to keep the original sets and refurb them back to their 1992 state, heck, enhance some of the scenes lime the crashing column before the trommel, and the Hall of spiders while keeping the original set pieces.
Imagine the Haunted House coming back with the original music as well a few new scenes!
I’m hoping Duel returns to The Haunted House next year and references the Secret Weapons and becomes terrifying
the cars have been removed from the attraction on the 14th September believe it to be due to the removal of the guns and the only themeing I've seen be removed are the last scene 'zombie attack' which was added for duels retheme as it use to be themed to a swamp so looking like the old haunted house theme is going to remain however hopefully with some newer additions to make the effects more reliable

I hope they take off the guns it’s better without seeing the lasers everywhere it’s better as just a dark ride
