Spring has emerged from a long slumber, and baseball along with it. With the 2023 MLB season about to get underway, there are new wrinkles being added to try and speed up the pace of play. Extreme infield shifting has been banned, bases have become larger, pickoff attempts are limited, and a pitch clock has been implemented (as it was seen as a hit in the minor leagues).

While the game attempts to evolve (whether it’s the right move or not, I’m not sure), there are thirty teams gearing up for another year. Their objectives and dreams vary, but one thing remains the same: To be the best they can, either in winning or tanking.

This video is devoted to that struggle, in some form. Play ball, fuckers.

  1. I don't hate hearing you read ad copy in a video. Maybe it's because your normal tone and content mean that I don't believe you're even trying to be convincing.

  2. You know what I got to give you props for this! For the first time ever when somebody actually advertised rocket money I actually felt kind of sold on it because I really didn't care about when people talked about how people would forget what subscriptions they're paying for. To that I just say that is just dumb and irresponsible How could you forget what you are paying for? But you mentioned how they can negotiate on your behalf to lower your bills that's pretty awesome. Looking up your credit score with ease instead of having to go to various websites or pay a fee to look it up sounds nice too.

  3. When it comes to the Oakland A's I have become completely disconnected. It's just gotten to the point where I have basically just stopped caring about the team and don't even bother going to their games. I just don't see much reason to keep showing support for a team that is owned by somebody so cheap who doesn't give a shit about winning. Only because my wife would like me to go to more events with her I'm even considering going to an A's game. We went to two sharks games One of them was when they retired their first ever jersey when they retired Patrick model That was amazing although the sharks lost the Blackhawks in a shootout. We also went to a pride night game for the Sharks.

I am however thinking of taking my wife to a Giants game for the first time. The only time we went to see the Giants was actually when we went to an A's game when they were at home against the Giants and this was back in the late 2010s when the A's were still a strong team.

  4. Not interested. 2023 MLB is RIP. The WBC was the last world series. I don't curse often, but yeah. These rules changes were for the narratives, politics, and to manufacture garbage officiating. In short…

MLB and Baseball as a whole on the top levels is fucked by the cash grabs and off field non fan based rules makers. They went all-in for the economics in gambling and for Stat era fans that love chaotic rules.

This is bad. Every single major sport is the same now. I unsubbed since the NFLs Chiefs Bills neutral site bs. That was a mistake that screamed and I said enough. "Entertainment for nobody!"

This new baseball era here… Screwjob for the average level players. Only entitled pansy celebrities that burn their lives into such can join these top ranks nowadays and others that work hard to get there can now be screwed by shoddy refs.

Rip sports. The church they were made for in America is crumbling by those whom want to mutilate what they stood to accomplish. To bring people together. Now, with baseball in this WOKE ERA ultimate destruction is guaranteed. Unnecessary and unintelligible rules and overpricing fans out will ruin the games and make all fans tune out.

  5. As a Giants fan I have to fully agree with Tree's assessment. The true lack of any real all stars aside from Webb who only plays every 5th game is a death sentence in our division. All we can sport is flexibility and b-team members of would be great teams. And the lack of any true superstar talent means there is no one who is likely to right the ship by playing better if things go wrong. Which has already happened to us early this season. We need like 3 all star position players to actually make our depth pieces mean something.

  6. Oh Man Tree was so wrong about the Cards so far. Over a month into the Season the cards are in last place at 13-25. That's a surprise even to me because the Cards are usually so good. Makes me wonder what the hell happened to them?
