It’s been an ongoing discussion for years now, so by looking back at CW’s legacy, can we figure out if it’s the best game yet?

Is Cold War Zombies BETTER Than Black Ops 3?

  1. round 35 to start, 55 at final state of the game. Also IMO the stoner is the weakest LMG and I have better luck camping in the showers by the giant tank on Die Maschine than the roof. There's also an escape hatch if you need but if you have ROF you won't need it. (especially if you have three lmgs and just don't reload… and yes, the game is balanced to be easy)

Edit: People need to know the Rai-k is BAD for taking on Orda, please stop doing it. Grab an FFAR or a PPSH, or literally any LMG, it's going to be much better. I'm keeping my edit open to add more.

    Fully agreed on Outbreak.

Klaus can punch the wall Immediately but having him upgraded is still needed for later so yeah passable.

the aetherium highway is the cage for the forsaken
    that is all.
    Wonderful video

  2. i absolutely adore cold war zombies so much, yes I'm a casual player but my personal enjoyment of an online only title is the progression, being able to level up, track my progress and have something to work towards so cold war being focused around this? is fantastic its so satisfying to not only level outside of the game but having more ingame progression, no perk limit, multiple pack stages, crafting, armour, it's fantastic theres always something to do in cold war theres never a final full setup state you can always grab a crafting item or a piece of armour etc its great!!!

  3. Was nice to play, but did get boring. The maps were not great at all felt a lack of effort in the maps and don’t like how it feels like multiplayer either takes away that zombie experience. Still a decent game when it came out probs not something I would go back to when I think zombies i thinks shadows, de, origins, gorod, mob those maps make me want to go back and play. Plus high rounds need to be better round 100 has lost its greatness which for me makes the game less enjoyable.

  4. Cold war zombies is amazing its in my top 5 i enjoy all the maps even Firebase Z i wish Cold war got a year 2 since Cold war was a success instead of releasing Vanguard who pretty much died on day 1 when it comes to zombies i dont know bout MP since i dont play that, people would like a year 2 for CW alot more i enjoy and like other zombies titles a bit more then CW but its still a solid top 5 for me.

  5. Loved the leveling up your skills really didn't like how easy it was and how they forced warzone shit into it to bring the warzone casuals really wish they would go back to how the old games felt but add the leveling system. Cold war zombies did not feel like zombies it felt like a pve warzone

  6. Cold War Zombies if allowed to evolve could have become as Iconic as the style of late BO2 and BO3. Die Machine is how WAW maps should always be remade (as main maps). The ability to level up attributes (if it was something that could be toggled on or off in private matches and the like) could have been a great hook for bringing players back to level up. What I don't understand is that the characters who are plot-important aren't the ones you play as realistically no dialogue should change whether or not they are there. I understand doubts that the likes of Richtofen Dempsy Nikolai and Takeo could be replaced but if anything that should have worked as a blueprint for how characters should interact almost as thought they're real people. My other big problem is map variety in some way or another it's military base after military base. The game could at times be too easy but if hordes were made bigger it could've gone down as one of the harder entries. In conclusion, it was far from perfect but for sure underrated and I'll never understand how some people die on the hill of BO4 being somehow better than this.

The unfortunate truth however is that it didn't get to evolve it didn't get its shadows of evil to its origins. No, it got vanguard which I believe is why opinions are so sour on the Cold War because it wasn't a messy start to something great it was the beginning of what the community sees as the end right now.

But the COD Cycle will inevitably have people looking back and saying "hey that was pretty good" just like exo zombies just like infinite warfare zombies and right now just like BO4 zombies.

  7. See if there's one complaint about the game being too easy I never understand is when people complained that you can buy all the perks even though people have been begging to not have a 4 perk limit for like ever

  8. @34:34 you don't have to trial and error it. If you look beneath the panels where you activate the code, you will see 3 lights on each one. 1 will be lit up on each telling you which order you push them.
Also Legion boss fight- if you pick up a wonder weapon at ANY time in the game, does not matter if it was world 1 or not, if you pick up a WW the game WILL 100% spawn more bosses for you. You made the game think you have a really powerful weapon to kill them. Even if you get rid of it the bosses stay. Just so everyone knows. And just use the flamethrower on the orbs. You can kill Legion in less than 2 minutes if you don't have a WW and use fire.
For Treyarch, it's a 'decent' boss but not hard if you can play the game. Solo is 100x easier than coop. But it definitely doesn't live up to Mephistopheles.

  9. I double down, Cold War was the biggest let down in all of zombies, lack of content, story made no sense (to me) and the fact that everything is customizable took away from what zombies is… being able to start with what ever weapon you want and just abuse ring of fire with certain double packs sickens me. Then there’s the “operator” system, the point was to play as characters that interacted with the map, any team mates and the features and bosses. The lack of wonder weapons, fun secret content and overall maps and exciting features let me down and honestly I couldn’t have more hate for a zombies game. Black ops 3 being full of new wonder weapons, op side Easter eggs and fun little things that were useful to the game but also in a way balanced made them fun and worth the time. The next zombies better be brimming with content and map personality. Zombies is something I grew up with and has helped me survive the hardest times in my life, i rest my case
