  1. small tip mates , if you conquer a planet with your marines and its a mining planet please stack up huge amount of drugs ( like 400-800 ) and sell it to them because of the unstability and the drug supply shortages the price are way too good to pass ( you need to join a faction to make it work , because conquered planets joins the faction you'r working for by default ) you could make a mil easy right after conquering it . small tip conquer the donn planet ( in hybrasil system ) its a pirate planet and tri-tachyon got two stations on that same system and they are the biggest drug producers in the sector.

  2. 6:30 The chase phase does cost supply because it reduces CR of the ships you're sending. You wouldn't want to send everyone, for example, if you know you're going to be fighting multiple fights back to back. Also from what I've heard other Starsector content creators say those hull mods for phase ships are super useful, to the point of almost mandatory depending on who you talk to.

Edit: Couple of Tips – You can hold shift when placing more of the same weapon (such as PD for example) and left click the mount to automatically put weapon on the mount without having to go into the menu. This won't work unless they are in the same storage though, for example the legal vs black markets.

Also you can hold down alt to quickly transfer items between your cargo and the station without having to click individually. Couldn't remember if you knew this one or not at the time of writing this.

  3. What a lucky dodge of that special task group hunting you, it was dropping out of hyperspace right when you jumped in… completely bamboozled. I think you are doing pretty well considering ships with such small fixed shield arcs are terrible for AI, but do keep in mind that "eliminate target" order means your navy will disregard its own safety to get the kill.
