  2. I find all this talk of "revival" rather puzzling in light of the Scriptures describing the end-times church as lukewarm and feckless – also known as the "Laodicean Church" in the Book of Revelation. The Barna Group, a Christian research polling organization, conducted an online survey to determine what kind of Sunday messages were being advertised in Bible-believing church websites across the country. Just TWO PERCENT were focused on prophecy! No one is making parallels to the encroachment of our religious, social and political rights as predicted will occur during the Great Tribulation to what we are currently experiencing as atheistic, radical leftists wield power in our government. No one is asking the question: "Do you think things are bad now?" and then follow it up with an explanation of how the Rapture of the Church will remove the Restrainer (the Holy Spirit Who dwells in the hearts of all born again believers) that will result in a world with no godly force for good, bu that by accepting Christ as your personal Savior you will avoid the wrath to come. Think about it: the Restrainer is still keeping evil at bay, but it is looking more and more like the believing church is totally oblivious to encroaching evil, and will be in no position to be taken seriously to stoke the fires of revival any time soon. The shame for this lack of prophetic discourse should be dropped at the feet of the believing church leadership who avoid the topic for fear of dividing their churches, particularly if they're in the middle of a renovation or expansion. There will be no revival – the Scriptures tell us so.
