Not everyone was poor or affected by the great depression, just as the 2008 financial crisis had no effect upon me personally, but the 1980 recession did impact me. We over look the America that was unaffected during the great depression and focus on the hooverville and the dust bowl. Some people prospered during the 1930's and others were affected but not so much. Life went on.

FDR was a fascist racist monster. I almost need to use the batman meme to explain how wtong you are. Had the hoover years been four more, the same would have happened and the economy would have recovered even before the war. FDR prolonged the depression for political gains. Even completely impoverished states like germany and hungary was on the up by 1934 without a FDR of their own.
