  1. The Physical World from Death From Above 1979. Everyone assumed they were a one and done with Your a Women, I'm a Machine back in 2005 but they came back with their garage stomper in 2014 and have been releasing great stuff since then

  2. Day 7: today is a band that will feature often this month I think, and this album also.

Criteria- change of band member, change of sound/direction.

Scorpions Lovedrive. This is such a great album given the loss of Uli. I prefer Uli era, but this, with the brief return of Schenker and the introduction of Jabs, is the sweet spot between the classic Scorpions sound and the downhill trajectory that began with Blackout; they made a conscious decision about the direction of travel, and it wasn't for the likes of me. But Lovedrive, I can, and do, play endlessly.

  3. Great band!! Haven't heard all of their music, but I like what I've heard so far. My #7: Going with the 5th album from a member of one of the most popular bands on the planet, and a guy who had a great solo career as well. He's written some of the most timeless songs ever, both with the band and solo. This album was his first after a 5 year break to raise his son. So many great songs on this one!! Talking about John Lennon – Double Fantasy

  4. Judas Priest-Redeemer Of Souls. It appears that Priest was about to end. They had to go on their Farewell Epitaph tour intending to bow out. However, before the tour could start, K.K Downing decided to leave. Since the band had already committed to a tour, they had to get a replacement. So, they got Richie Faulkner. Richie gave them a nice shot in the arm. So, they unleashed Redeemer Of Souls. Hard to believe that it turns ten this year. Co-produced by Mike Exeler and guitarist Glenn Tipton. With cover art by Mark Wilkinson. This one is a barnstormer. It's business as usual, with a few I've singled out. Halls Of Valhalla sounds doomy, like fellow Birmmies Black Sabbath. Sword Of Damocles has an operatic mid. Crossfire reminds me of Hendrix in some places. Secrets Of The Damned sounds mechanical, like Metal Gods. It even has a guitar solo that sounds like it could be a Guitar Synth. Beginning Of The End is an emotional power ballad. Creatures is another doomy track. Never Forget is an anthemic power ballad. Rob still sounds great.

  5. My choice for today is Voivod 'Target Earth' their first without founding member and genius guitarist Piggy, with Chewie keeping the six string madness going! What a comeback !..! !..!
