Catching up after a rough night 🤢
It's fairly easy to get a million caps, set up a settlement with tier 4 vendors and max out the amount of caps that they have at any one time. Then farm Gunners, my farm is fairly small 7 levels with 12 gunner cages on each level for a maximum possible gunner yield of 84 ( usually gives in the low 70's as some of the cages are empty each cycle). Farm the gunners every 7 or so days, taking all of their equipment guns etc. and especially armour. Selling to the merchants on a 2 day cycle ( and if you want other merchants as well).
You get 40, 000 to 50,000 caps worth of equipment to sell each time you farm the gunners.
The total number of caps that shows on the Pip boy is 1,000,000.
Oh and you get lots of XP each farming cycle
