  12. I just came here to see everyone whine about the DLC that is superior to every other game this year having a shot at winning the award for best gaming experience of the year. The fear people have of it winning really says something. Don't get me wrong, I loved Astrobot, Wukong and Rebirth were alright, Ballatro is kind fo a throw away imo but hey its some Indie representation. But Shadow of the Erdtree is easily the best dollar value here, the quality of this expansion has yet been unseen in gaming. It was SO much more fun than everything else on the GOTY list except maybe Astrobot, which I hope wins if not Shadow of the Erdtree.
    "DLC should have its own category" SO original. What other DLC expansions would be in that category? Destiny 2's and…? No, don't be stupid.
    Shadow of the Erdtree on its own stands among the best gaming content released this year, it deserves to at least be in the running. Certainly more than god damn Stellar blade, so mid. Zelda was alright too but not a GOTY game.

  16. Im just up 2 my chin on route down this rabbit hole… i have not held a pad since Fiffa 21. I laugh listning 2 my son shouting and jst thot it was palls from school having a laugh.. i had no idea he could even play against folks from around the world… im a football fan and a book worm. I keep hearing "Elding ring " in relation 2 G.R.R.M… i used 2 look at my kids playing minecraft, ehhmm fortnight and thot. " games are going backwards, pro ev looked better". I just seen a fella Faze Banks being interviewed asif it was on bbc/sky sports about a beef he won afyer years out the game… Im blown away and gained 100x respect. Im sure im already bugging my son with quesrions. Main one being.. " i want 2 start gaming and other than Fiffa the only one i think id love is Eldin ring "… "ehh nahh dad its 2 hard for u, ul get pissed off in a day and never game again… sooo i looked around. "Diablo".. he told me jst 2 stick 2 fiffa. Any thots advice on how 2 get in2 gaming at an older age ? Soz for the novel of a com.

  19. Sometimes i feel I'm the only one that thinks Black myth is overrated af.

    FFVII Rebirth and Metaphor are easily the best games in the category, not considering elden ring's dlc.

    I actually prefer like a dragon much more then black myth. Judge me.

  22. I understand why the are considering stuff like that. Xenoblade have been releasing a complete game with every season pass.
    Xenoblade Chronicles – Future Redeemed are easily one of the best games I ever played and it was released as DLC in a season pass (recommended to play XB 1- 3 first altought).

  23. I still prefer Black Myth Wukong as game the year even I played other 5 nominees. Is just none of them come close to that game new concept, new culture introduce into gaming industry and better fun experiences of gameplay.

Hahaha😂😂😂 wood just realized that video game awards is joke, it's always been a joke, if it is serious award show it will organize their games like have a dlc of the year, best character of year, best retro game of the year for the old games that need some love and many more, it's just there to make consumers and company feel important because if there game won the consumers will feel proud and prideful on the game they played also the some on the companies.

  32. I really don't think family games = couch co-op. That would be more in line with a party game. A family game to me is a game the whole family can play, from the little kids to the grown adults.

    I think reward shows really need to outline what the criteria for a game is, because the simple fact is we're all going to have a different opinion on what we think something means, when we need to be talking from the point of view of what they mean when they make the category.

    Also, DLC/Remasters/Remakes should not qualify for game of the year. Give them their own reward brackets, but stop putting them in as GOTY.

  35. I feel like if Elden Ring wins again, the Game Awards will lose a lot of it's credibility among the fans. I have not seen a single person defend SOTE, and most people are outright against a DLC winning the award, so I can't imagine people will view the Game Awards favorably if it wins. Elden ring is likely a game of the century, and it's truly unfair to have games compete with it year after year. Even BG3 would have had a hard time competing with Elden Ring if they had come out the same year, and it ALSO is a game of the century.

FF7 rebirth might be great :)) but if bearly anyone played it because of their stupidity in making a deal with sony id say it deserves some slack, allot of people arent going to vote for ff7, just because they cant play it , pc player base always neglected :0 atleast theyve learned from theyr mistakes with the sales of ff7 and said they will now make the 3rd game for pc as well
