I empathize with the complaint that some of the actions in Lacerda games have a lot of steps but once you've really understood the big picture of the actions and not let yourself get lost in the details they're actually very simple. E.g. buying a piece of art is just paying the cost, moving the meeples on the artwork tile to the plaza (which you have to do because they're standing on the artwork tile), increase the fame of the artist and taking tickets (both of which are printed on the artwork tile to remind you), taking the artwork and signature tile to your board, and finally replenishing the meeples on the newly revealed artwork tile. Ian O'Toole does an amazing job with the UI that all the actions can be done by just reading off the board.
