  1. I want more games with V-Pet elements. It's kinda limited to Digimon World and Monster Rancher at this point, but it's such an appealing subgenre to me, with the roguelight element of your monsters dying and restarting, and the time management that brings.

  2. Are you making videos everyday? Because you dont have too. If you make a few a week thatd actually look better to avoid repeating the same content and news. A little saturated if you ask me on this weeks videos.

  3. I agree with all of these points. I also think it'd be really cool if some monster tamer projects got additional media: A cartoon, a web animation, a webtoon, a comic book/manga, a tcg/ccg, some more physical merch like figures, plushes, posters, and apparel, etc.. I know that's some bigger budget stuff but I'd still love to see it. Also, speaking of physical aspects, some toy/physical objects to interact with the digital. Like Digimon's V-Pets/Vital Brace, Tamagotchi's, Pokemon's, Pokewalker, any of those games that had a scanner or some sort of physical to digital plug and play aspect (like UB Funkey's or Skyclimbers or those TCGs and Beyblades that gave you codes for the digital game. Again, big budget stuff, and moreso a dream again rather than a practical hope, especially in a mostly digital age, but it'd capture that late 90s/early 2000s nostalgia so many people associate with Monster Tamers (and the things a lot of also enjoyed alongside monster tamers as kids). Plus it'd be cool for serious collectors of Monster Tamer game type stuff or even just cool nerd shit in general (me).

Also, yes, I'd absolutely be ecstatic for a Fossil Fighters or Spectrobes revival

  4. For me personally, I'd like to see more options come to PS5. I would also like to see more coop ventures and games that focus heavily on rewarding exploration and have crazy stories. I always enjoy good customization options and engaging battle mechanics as well. I agree with moving away from the weaponization of games for/against Pokemon.

  5. Just recently found this channel, naturally at the same point as I was getting into the monster taming/creature collector genre as a whole, and it's been keeping me hyped about checking out different MT games and seeing the genre outside of Pokemon, which I've been into most of my life at this point, and also for work on my own project. Thanks for the work you do!

  6. I'm so excited for Palworld personally. Ark is my current fix and has been for a very long time but at this point, ive tamed everything at least once, ive beaten every boss, ive built so many cool bases, its time for something new

  7. Speaking of old monster games… Lost Kingdoms is a card-based monster capturing-esque action game from the early 2000s that was developed by FromSoft. I would be so happy if they revived that series, or if other developers looked at that long-forgotten series for inspiration.

  8. The problem is that the genre lacks an official name. Some call it monster collector, some monster taming, some battle buddy… and amidst all that confusion and "freedom" some call it "Pokémon clones".
The solution is to find a name for the genre that everyone must use. Something that includes the collecting, raising and battling aspects but also including games that lack one or two of these elements without stopping belonging to the genre (like early SMT games).
Until then, the genre is doomed.

After much thinking, I found the perfect name: "Monggers"
We shall use and popularize that name.
    Monggers

  9. When it comes to Pokémon I just wish the Pokémon company would crack down on hacking and cheating. From what I've heard there's rampant cheating in the competitive scene. If they focused on that instead of appeasing the loud minority who complain it would benefit the whole monster taming genre as a whole.
