The war has already started. Diplomacy seems unreachable, and even if it was reached who can promise it will not flare up again? When the pain has already been brutally inflicted, it seems from the outside, the people of Ukraine want to hold on a bit longer and fight through for a better hopeful future. More than anything, they need hope right now. This includes the Russian people too.
Imagine a united Eastern European front led by Alexei Navalny, closely banded by Zelensky, Sergei, Sviatlana, and other Eastern European leaders working towards globalizing the former Soviet territories (Russia, Ukraine, Belarus) and opening its’ economies also using their valuable political lessons to aid other suppressed nations of the world.
So far, we have always seen leaders only from the superpowers of this world trying to make so-called world changes, maybe leaders like Navalny and Zelensky are better candidates than the Bidens and Putins of the world, as they can resonate better with the suppressed and deprived voices of the world more than their counterparts from the richer nations.
After an awfully long time – Eastern Europe has been blessed again with if I dare say some of the brightest upcoming political leaders and activists of our generation — they are ready to take up the mantle, but they cannot do it all alone.
