  2. The funny thing is the forerunners, given time, could probably give the Necrons what they always wanted. Biological bodies that are completely immortal. All they have to do is say "Um yeah, unlike those frogs we're willing to share," and BAM. Necrons will be eating out of the Forerunners hands.

  3. forerunner frigates are canonically gas giant to starbuster level.
thats it thats all i had to say.
consistant star buster level on weakest military ship type is all the arguments i need.

  4. The best and worst part of the Forerunners is exactly this. They're the most powerful goddamn things in their literature but they got aced by being prideful dickwhistles and went gorilla-shit on the things that fucking made them.

Then Humans advanced to be fairly comparable to the Forerunners in terms of tech, nowhere near the SIZE of the Forerunner empire, but pretty close when it came to shooties, and the Precursors said "hey they're gonna be the next bearers of the Mantle."

And then they let their super computer talk to the thing that was the last member of the species they gunned down, granted 100,000 years later and after a very, very long period of forgetting their own past, but still.

I hate them because they're basically Superman. Impossible to beat unless the plot fuckin calls for it.

  5. If this was before 40K the Forerunners would be more fucked than dealing with Chaos. Humanity was pretty much the Forerunners during the Golden Age. You’re also forgetting the more strange aspects of 40K that makes Chaos say nope. Like the Shadow xenos that are virtually almost impossible to kill.

  6. Imma be honest while I do like 40k I do think it’s strength is massively overhyped, I mean I can think of 5 fictional universes off the top of my head that make 40k look like an ant to an anteater and my profile is from one of said universes. I’m pretty sure the Forerunners would do just fine

  7. I think the narrator of this is confused on exactly what a C'tan is, they aren't "machine God's" they're immortal omniscient star feeding creatures we assign the title of "god" because our own understanding of what constitutes as life doesn't apply to them.
The Forerunners would definitely be a threat to the Imperium but I think you're oversimplifying the manufacturing power the Imperium has, they've been pumping out weapons, vehicles and anything else you need to fight a galactic sized war for tens of thousands of years (this in an inefficient way), it would also depend on what period of the imperium's existence the forerunners would be at, late Imperium they could destroy the Imperium, early grand crusade era the Imperium could hold its own, it had much greater technology and none of the religious superstition it has in the modern setting, plus the Emperor's leadership

  8. I'm almost expecting him to make a video on Halo Humans in 40k now. Expect on dominating or be a great faction, it would probably be "Halo Humans could survive in 40k….just barely." But who knows I dont.

  9. Nurgle has plagues that infect your soul. Nothing the Forerunners have can heal souls so the only chaos god with a chance at doing any real damage is Nurgle and only after getting into a Forerunner. Khorne's lesser demons that have swords that can cut through anything and prevent blood from clotting might kill forerunners. and because demons are effectively immortal Chaos could manage to do some damage. Admittedly they would have to resort to attrition warfare but the Forerunners would probably end up just having to wipe out demon armies every couple of hundred years. Also Luscious the Eternal who takes over the body of whoever kills him would probably end up as the only non demon-prince/demon-primarch that chaos has.

  10. I'm not sure where you're getting the idea that Slipspace is slower than Warp travel. Other than the situations where you end up arriving before you left, the wrap is shown to take about 6 to 40 years real time to travel the length of the Imperium (roughly 75,000 lightyears edge to edge). Meanwhile, the Forerunner Slipspace drive mounted on the infinity could do 2000 light years per day, which means they could travel that same distance in roughly 40 days. Even the Covenant drives could do around 900 LY per day, which would still make the trip take only about 84 days. Anyone with a Slipspace drive would run circles around every faction in 40k.

  11. If you're going to introduce forerunners into 40k, don't.
Introduce them into 20k, or the war in heaven, where everyone was at the height of their power.
In my humble opinion, krorks, pre fall eldar, dark age humanity, war in heaven necrons, and the other mysterious psychic races that humanity had a hard time fighting were at the tech level of the foreunners.

  12. I’d say it all depends on what era of warhammer they appear. Current era of 40k would be a steamroll against all other factions, Dark Age of Technology? Well, that would be a bit harder, thanks to all the crazy levels of tech humanity had (Men of Iron, Black hole guns, etc). War In Heaven? They’re dead

  13. Hardly any, if any at all, 40K defence forcing in the comments. Honestly surprised and impressed. The comments sections of Gamza's "Could They Survive" videos were really painful. Saw someone say Godzilla would be killed by Space Marine Bolter fire on the Godzilla one.

  14. I will respectfully disagree with you on the topic of chaos. Chaos corruption is often slow, subtle, and all so tempting. The chaos gods would continue the Great Game, but would be fairly amused by the Forerunners.

The corruption would likely start with their stated goals, twisting the meanings ever so slightly, by degrees over decades if not centuries. Plus there are examples of Forerunners with massive psychological issues ( Didact, Faber) who would be particularly interesting to certain gods. I also feel that of all the gods, Khorne and Nurgle would be the most likely to convert the first of the Forerunners. But not for the usual reasons. Especially Nurgle.

Also, do not discount the orks. Orks do great at being completely unpredictable and in large enough numbers, literally warp reality around them. Hubris is a major fault of the Forerunners and the orks punish that on a regular basis throughout 40k, and it will only take 2-3 incidents like that for Forerunner tech to start being used against them. Orks can put a pipe with a piece of wood and have a gun that works. Imagine would happen if the orks manage to capture a cache of forerunner weapons intact.

  15. Forerunner power generation actually kills forming universes and consumes the power of their big bangs. Tldr they kill infant universes to power their toasters. They dont really tunnel into alternate universes. They do however have the ability to explore other dimensions of slipspace than that of the unsc etc. There are entire dimensions of only protons and photons etc. Weird extra physical dimensions of slipspace they can utilize for stuff that no one else has even touched.

Technically chaos may have ways to take hold, the didact was corrupted by the gravemind in order for him to unconciously work against the forerunners in his ambitions to stop the flood. All it took was some conversations and the floods insane abilitys to convince and or manipulate people both inately and insidiously.

Speaking of the domain, the forerunners have a man of iron style weakness, the domain is somewhat sentient, the flood could corrupt it and that was really the big problem for the forerunners since it ran almost everything much like the imperiums STCs. Chaos up that internet and watch as mayhem insues.

  16. wait if the Forerunners had the power to drain ENTIRE UNIVERSES of life how the fuck did they beat the flood. how the fuck did the flood even lose in ANY of the games. yeah I'm calling bullshit on this. at this point the halo universe is just making shit up. nah homie. the entire universe is straight up dumb. i can't take it seriously.

  17. You're underestimating Chaos, you don't just sell your soul, it corrupts overtime. Some Forerunners will fall to corruption and join Chaos.
Take Slaanesh, imagine just relaxing one day at the beach with a drink, well it was so good you want to do it the next day, and the next day, and the next day, then you're vacation is up and you have work in the mourning, but you keep doing it, but it's not enough, you watch your phone while doing it, but that's not enough, you bring out a TV and a fan, then you bring out loudspeakers. Each Chaos god has this slow corruption that the Forerunners won't be prepared for.
The Covenant will stand a better chance against Chaos with their theocracy and authoritarian behavior rooting it out.
