My first video game was Mario/DuckHunt with controller pads and Orange/Red and gray Zapinator in 1990 when I was 5. My mom had apparently taken it out of the box every night when I went to sleep, would play it all night and all morning while I was at school, and then hide it before I got home. I opened it 5 months after she bought it, on my birthday. She said "I did it to be able to teach you, but completely got hooked on it" My mom and I would play video games for hours on end until the day she died when I was 15 and she was 38. Damn I miss that woman. I just turned 38 a couple months ago, so fingers crossed I last longer than my parents did 😛
