  1. Solar cells less than half as efficient, and with regular dust storms. Very good idea.

    I highly doubt that Starship can sustain so many passengers over a 7 month transfer. It's been calculated that supplies for no more than 6 passengers can be loaded into Starship.

    It is not feasable to go beyond our moon without nuclear propulsion. This is a known fact since 1950s.

  2. I'd like someone to explainto me what we would do there. It's a cold dead rock, without any life sustaining resources like oxygen, plant life or water. Besides existing in an enclosed environment, what else could you accomplish?

  3. Try magnifying the light before it hits the solar panel? Light magnification technology where starlight is magnified over and iver could someday lead to an unlimited power source in space.

  4. But what would keep oxygen in the Mars atmosphere? Also, is there magnetic filed in Mars? It it's not what would protect people on Mars from solar and cosmic radiation. What about pressure on Mars? Shouldn't the first ones to arrive be biologists and other scientists as well as doctors?
