The Finale, aka, EDGING 101 *House of the Dragon* ~ Season 2 Ep8 Reaction

WE’RE HEREEEEE!!! Daemon’s vision had me gagged beyond belief (but also sad cause we know how things really end oop!) I need Ulf to be dealt with I’m sorry… Alicent pulling a Rhaenyra last minute lol – The symbolism of the last two shots though?!?!? CRIMINAL

Give this a like if Sir Simon is the real hero of this season, respectfully comment your thoughts, and as always, SUBSCRIBE!! Or don’t. I can’t make you (but the producers will make you wait 2 years to see the show again- oh wait!)

  1. Not the edging 101😂😂😂😂
I liked the setup in this ep.and this season. I feel like Daemon coming round would've never been believable if we hadn't seen him lose his chickens at Harrenhal. We've spent all season giving Rhaenyra reverse Danaerys vibes, NOT wanting to burn down King's Landing and now she's ready to go hard for the throne. Aemond is on his big, bad villain shot and I'm here for it, 1000%.
And now I'm fully ready for Season 3. Can't wait!

  2. This episode and the dumb conversation to end the season has made it blatantly clear that the writers WILL NOT hold Rhaenyra and the Blacks responsible or to the same standard they will for Alicent and the Greens.

"A son for a son." Excuse me um do you not remember that your husband had a prince killed at the beginning of the season.

Corlys has completely forgotten that Rhaenyra is responsible for both the death of his son and wife.

The red sowing and the starving of the people of Kings Landing completely ignored.

Rhaenyra is good and hold no responsibility, Alicent is bad and holds all of it and that is it. She will also apparently let her brother, father and sons die to save herself and her daughter. Bullshit.

  3. I mean, Aegon was forced into being king and the entire war is being fought without his input lol. The only decisions he made was to hang the rat catchers, and drunk flying his dragon to battle, in which his own brother tried to kill him.

  4. Apparently, there’s actually a valid reason for why this ending felt so abrupt: Season 2 was originally supposed to be 10 episodes, but due to a mix of actor strikes and HBO budget cuts, they had to push the last two episodes to next season. So this was initially supposed to be Episode 8 of 10, not Episode 8 of 8. Which definitely sucks, but at least there is an actual technical reason why they did this.

  5. The mud-wrestling Admiral Tohar is played by Abigail Thorne who is most well known for having a YouTube channel called Philosophy Tube. So, quite an unexpected part (that has too many scenes and lines to be a cameo). And in case you didn't know, Abigail is trans (don't know about the character, though).

  6. Alicent is the devil in person.
Imagine your mother puts all these evil ideas in your head that the family is in danger if Rhaenyra becomes queen, and then, after SHE crowns her son (who never wanted to be king), she goes to the enemy to sell you and your brothers because she has suddenly become a pacifist.

Rhaenyra should have killed her, but like her father, she keeps making mistakes one after another.

  7. I cant lie this is the one time I've ever liked Criston Cole. Just being purely nihilistic, dropping all his stupid honorable projection bullshit, just being a doomer. That's a good look on Cole. Also the Lannister hanging with the pirates subplot was really fun too. On the other hand, watching the little girl run around in the wild looking for a dragon like 4 different times was totally unnecessary, and so was that conversation between Ali and Rhaenyra at the end too. Absolutely bizarre season finale, like just straight up odd decisions were made. Now we get to sit around for TWO YEARS. Pain.
