"The Federal Overture" – American Revolutionary War Song

This piece was created by American composer Benjamin Carr in 1794. It is a medley of several different popular songs of the era, all with separate political connotations. The original piece, as seen here, was written for the harpsichord; Carr later transposed it to allow an orchestra to perform the piece.
