Star Wars was released in 1977. Not 1987.
Do a part 2 of the Mac
This was a great trip down memory lane!
I'm in that 1978-87 Lego Space generation. No goodies and baddies; no storylines; just explorers with radios and metal detectors. When I played with the old sets, it was all about fixing crashed spaceships, or missing astronauts. If I wanted to do space battles, I had my Star Wars toys to play with (at that time, only the Lego Castle sets had weapons – swords and shields). I figured the different coloured astronauts meant they had different jobs to do (like the colour-coded uniforms in Star Trek), not that they were rival factions. Maybe it's a generational thing, but I like the idea that the original space sets stuck to Lego's old, pacifist ideals – they didn't need weapons or police, the universe was interesting enough without them! (My last sets were the first "Light & Sound" sets – after that I grew out of playing with Lego…)
Everyone was talking about Star Wars Ep. IV in 1987…?
Amazing video Spit!
Brought back some old memories and nostalgia.
I had no idea that some of these sets and themes were released only couple years after I was born.
I remember having set 6815 Hovertron from Exploriens theme with these fancy holographic stickers.
I liked Alien Conquest and the UFO sets were my favourite sets from the theme. The best part was that all the UFO sets had different features, such as the mothership being able to spin and the "UFO abduction" set was able to pick up minifigures and light up.
when i was quite young i got a small walker as a promotional from alien conquest
This was great great thanks
This is awesome

Seeing how important space is to Lego I wonder if we'll see a new space theme soon like the old ones? I kinda hope they do, because while promoting actual space careers is great for kids, they also love playing with aliens.
Insectoids were my favorite lego space theme I miss non star wars space stuff.
4:35 So basically it was called magnet-tron, which means microwave in Dutch (magnetron). Never knew there was a microwave lego line lol

Our parents got some of these as kids, when we were around five, we took them in, but we are now low on the older precise. We were lucky to see these at all in person.
Legos
Ice planet was my peak I had the massive spaceship set and it was the most memorable set i ever owned.
Oi
Hey if you do another lego errors i'v got one. on Lloyd's golden ultra Dragon two of the vengestone warriors have armor pieces but in most of the promotional images it does not and in the real set it dose not.
SPACE one of the finest themes
I would love it if LEGO rebooted Space Police again, or if they rebooted Galaxy Squad. Those two were the ones I had when I was little, and I always get some nostalgia when looking at those sets.
