The Evolution (and Devolution) of Track Visuals in Mario Kart Games

I’ll be going over how Mario Kart has improved the visual quality of it’s tracks over time, as well as voice some concerns over the recent dip in quality with the Booster Course Pass.

  1. I see lots of channels get praised for avrage quality when they have a lower sub count, This is not one of those times. This video was extremely well done way above the avrage and can't wait to see more from you in the future!

  2. Mario Kart Double Dash will always be the best Mario Kart IMO. Obviously my opinion is tainted with it being my first Mario Kart and the second video game I ever owned but I just love the game and wish they’d bring back 2 characters per kart, at least as a toggleable option.

  3. I mean I still play mkwii via a hack called CTGP made by a guy named mrbean35000vr, got online it's own tracks and own game modes. Alot of the tracks look absolutely amazing. Still believe mkwii is the best game graphics wise and physics wise.

  4. Unfortunately its a lose-lose scenario for Nintendo at this point. People want mario kart 9 so much but when nintendo gives them a little dlc to have fun waiting for mk9 they start unironically asking for mk8 level of graphics. You just cant have 48 mario kart 8 level tracks AND expect mk9 before 2026-27

  5. I remember getting mk8 back in 2015 after I got my Wii u, the first thing I said was "holy shit this is beautiful" I burnt myself out on the game after a few years but still bought mk8dx to play with friends, I never expected dlc and I'm happy we are, but I would enjoy more quality within the content we're paying for.

  6. This video can be summed up with “the booster course pass tracks don’t look as good as the base game, therefore Mario Kart as a whole is going downhill.”

We’re getting 48 tracks for $25. Keep in mind most Mario Kart games have fewer tracks than that, and cost more than double.
