  1. I think all haves a conection, it all started on the secret lab. As a project for a biological weapon. But it escaped somehow to a Spiffos cow (Literally how can spiffo dont have a conection with all if he is the pet of the game), That cow was killed to feed more cows, but the meat made some smell, which caused the main airbone infection, when the goverment got information about the smell they started planning the exclusion zone. But many information about the infection got lost since the Zeds killed the scientists, so they dint know sounds attracted them, and that lead exclusion zone being destroyed.

  2. 2:25 the “feeding cattle to cattle” thing is probably a reference to the Simpson’s zombie episode from Treehouse of Horror XX. The outbreak in that occurs because of Krusty burgers made from cattle that were fed ground beef, creating a new meat he calls “Beef^2”. Considering it came out in 2009 shortly before development would really begin, it’s all but certain some of the devs saw it.

  3. I think my only criticism (and this goes for every zombie movie/game that does this) is that the world treats the knowledge or lore of Zombies like they never existed. Like no one saw the 1978 Movie Dawn of the Dead & movies/comics heavily inspired by it, seriously? (Not to mention earlier Zombie related stuff before that movie but you get the point.) If this happened today & the dead started to walk all of a sudden–we'd scream "Oh fuck, Zombies" & prob take more (or less for the unreasonable) effective action.

  4. I don't think the event was planned at all, I think that events had actually been happening maybe a month or more prior to the start date, and some of the soldiers, scientists and Hazmat folks were aware the official story wasn't accurate. It does seem like the soldiers manning the barricades had more autonomy than they officially should have. I'm sure the General was aware people were being shot and killed, but it seems like the exact methods of response were somewhat up to each barricade aside from general guidelines. Their policy on when to shoot quickly became personal rather than official it seems.

  5. The turning the frogs gay thing was the only thing Alex Jones was halfway right about. The frogs could change genders and chemicals were being dumped that caused them all to turn female and decimate their population. That might be a nod that it was actually spiffo

  6. Imagine when we get npcs you can experience this specially in day 10 where if you are a normal person you can try to get out and go through all of that and if you are part of the military you can run this tests and take part in the story. 😮😮😮

  7. I do believe the burger meat theory is the closest one to the truth. Mad cow's disease is one hell of a bugger. It's also known to jump species. Also, there is no cure to it, so it fits perfectly with the game's story. Prion diseases are really scary

  8. Kinda wish they had kept it vague. When it's vague the player's imagination can conjure up so many unique ideas. The story we got is so… lame. Paradoxically making the whole planet fall to the zombies makes the story feel even smaller, like the player isn't in THE special region, just A region. The "quarantine" map borders don't matter and Knoxville isn't special. That sucks.
Also, the whole timeline's scale feels screwy. The quarantine fails in like a week, and the whole planet is lost by the very next weekend? I know this isn't a normal disease, but the speed is so unbelievable it's distracting.

  9. Still in the process of watching the whole video but I always wanted to say that I think the Knox event was probably outside of the government control. If a quarantine zombie outbreak were to occur inside the United States the military would be the first to respond, although mainly they do it to learn tactical and strategic thinking. Officers Cadets I usually run through a zombie outbreak scenario and how they would be the first to lock this down. The fact Because the virus spread so fast the way it did it doesn't seem all that likely that it was started by the military because the end case would be to firebomb the quarantine rather than fixing it by just trying to find a cure. So that's why my theory around this is more chemical or biological tasting done by some type of company, Usually, they like to cover things and not tell the government till it is too late which causes the whole government to be late to respond. If we look at the lore that is known, the government doesn't seem to know what the disease fully is till the Virus has gone Airborne but at that point, the infection spread doesn't matter All they can do is find a cure but by the time the radios and TVs stop their won't be help coming for years. Even with the prospect of a cure, you never know if it will return the dead to humans or just instantly kill them and cause what's left of the humans to be all that's left.

  10. I just imagine how cool it would be once the NPCs come out to meet some characters like Hass (AFAIK, he's still out there). Maybe you can even save some of the reporters who died not because they fell ill, but because they were mauled by zombies. Even if they don't want to add something like what I'm about to say, modders will do a short work. Just imagine being a random grunt stationed at a military camp. You have to deal with people, both dead and alive. Your crew falls sick. Some come back, get put down in front of your eyes. Maybe you're the only survivor, maybe there's a few guys left who are immune to airborne strand of the virus. Either way, a massive horde is coming to break through the exclusion zone, and there's nowhere to run. You don't have enough ammo. This is how you died.

Or once/if Nashville comes out, you could join one of the two groups there and work againsg the other, one being cannibals and raiders and the other regular survivors.

  11. im usually not a fan of the concept of zombie apocalypses, its just not possible for something as frail as a living corpse to destroy society, project zomboid gets around that for having the disease be airborne, which i really like
