  1. So glad YouTube is finally recommending great history channels. Only took google spying on me throughout community college to learn my interests…

One thing I really like about this video, and I don’t know if it was intentional, is that it sort of parallels the history portrayed in many of the Assassin’s Creed games.

  2. Columbus never set foot on the American mainland, either North or South. And he was a "converso" a Jew that had to convert to Catholic religion under duress. If you can't get that right there is no point in watching this.

  3. Seems you need to dig a bit deeper my friend. You cannot cover the topic of Pirates and not include the Moorish Armies who were expelled from Spain in 1642 and became some if the most feared pirates in the Mediterranean sea.

  4. What about our cousin, the Murderer, John Paul Jones, Father of the United States Navy. Does this keep him off the list? Our Eponymous Ancestor was Wolf Paul McTyre (some say Son of Tyre – The Devil), the 14 th Century Sutherlandshire Freebooter. Likely even Haakon Paulson of Icelandic Sagas Orkney Story. The other Earl of Orkney, Saint Magnus, unfortunately got the cook's meat cleaver between the eyes after making the mistake of bringing the arranged two ships to a meeting, instead of Our Man's seven.
