  1. I like how Kirk wanted to save the enemies, but he left it up to Spock and even though Spock values life, he muredered' Spock's race and planet so in a sense Spock wanted revenge.

  2. Wait a minute. They were hit with red matter that destroyed a planet AND they couldn't escape from the singularity. So, why fire Enterprise weapons? Goofing around that close caused the Enterprise to stay too close to the singularity to escape and Kirk's death. They could have simply backed off and gloated. But, nope, they had to gloat.

  3. Ouch… that hurts. It really show, that whoever uploaded this video has no idea from Star Trek. Just because the ship emerged at the beginning of the movie out of a black hole and gets crushed at the end by another black hole, is no reason, to name it a "Black Hole Ship." If you would have seen the movie, you should know, that this ship is just a modified romulan mining-vessel. It has nothing todo with black holes at all. The only reason, the romulans were able, to create black holes, was of the stolen vulcan ship which they were taking along.

  4. I've never understood why people hated on this film so much. OK, I'll concede that perhaps it isn't the best, but it's such a fun romp that if I get even a hint that its being shown on terrestrial TV, I'll tune in to watch it. It's one of the few films that I'll happily watch over and over. The thing is that some of the actors got their character so spot on that when I see episodes of TOS, I can easily imagine the counterpart actor in certain scenes… and for me that's what makes this film a good one!

  5. They should have just left straight away after they beamed onboard. Or after they said no to the assistance. But no they had to commit a warcrime by firing on a helpless vessel.

  6. For a movie made in the 2010 decade, this is without a doubt one of the the worst depictions of a black hole ever put in cinema lol. Light exploding outwards easily from it, half the ship being visible on both sides while one half of it is past the event horizon. To be honest most of the CGI used in the last decade looks pretty bad today, the 10s were a lot like the 80s movie trends and it's a big reason why from the 90s into the earlier 2000s movies went back to practical effects for awhile.

  7. This film makes my brain hurt.
JJ turned a SciFi into a Sci Fantasy 😒

The characters were fine, even the visuals I could more or less accept, but damn the story is such hot garbage and the plot is full of holes.

  8. Ever notice how Federation weapons were useless against the black hole ship's weapons at the beginning of the movie, and yet are now amazingly effective in this scene 😉

  9. I was never a fan of the reboot phasers that were more like Star Wars plasma bolts. Star Trek hit its peak for me around the Wrath of Khan era, where phasers screeched and looked deadly.

  10. For just action, this was great.
But all the shaking, flashing, and flickering was probably hell for people with seizure risk.
Also, a ship at warp is going faster than the speed of light. There is no explosion in the universe strong enough to push it out of that gravity well.
