The legendary Yamato. The largest battleship in the world. She displaced 72,808 tons and was 263 meters or 863ft long. Her main guns could fire shells weighing 1.5 tons but despite her impressive size and armament, she was to be defeated. By 1945 Japan was desperate and had sent their leviathan to its doom on a one way mission with orders to beach and fight to the end. But even this final mission was cut short by over 200 American planes. Their sheer numbers stopped her in her tracks, sending her to the bottom of the sea.

  2. I think that Yamato is symbolic of biting off more than you can chew. More aircraft were sent to kill Yamato than Japan sent to attack Pearl Harbor. That’s how outclassed they were in production.

  3. hate how much coverage this ship got (and bismarck) two ships so big and powerful that are currently wasting away at the bottom of the ocean. its about the fight of the man, not the ship.

  4. meanwhile WOW sponsors videos of warships with human animation in it, but in the game there is no dlc that gives eye satisfaction with the activities of the sailors on board

  5. Its actually a clash of civilizations…. Even nukes were used to suppress Asia even though victory was assured.
Now the era of asia starts…..look at these western powers now, scrambling in their own excreta.
Eurasia(russia), asia, africa will dance on the chest of whites !!

  6. Ten Go was an act of desperation and a waste of the lives of the men onboard. So our protagonist barges into the room to see his superior waiting to be summoned…. (All the while the ship is being destroyed around them).

  7. I love the answer the guide for the USS Texas gives when asked if US WWII battleships were better than the Japanese.

He said you are standing on a US WWII Barrleship, you need scuba gear to even see a Japanese WWII battleship.

  8. "What is there to fear with the power of the mighty Yamato on your side?" Any Allied aircraft as they didn't have air cover and they all knew they were on a suicide mission to be beached
