Thordan EX (aka The Gigapope) is STILL arguibly my favorite trial in all of FF14.
On top of just being a well designed fight, its a reference to The Knights of Round. Both one of the most iconic summons in the franchise and a reference to the Knights of The Round Table in of itself.
And the Warrior of Light canonically solos that sh!t

Additionally, once you truly finish with Heavensward including the patch content, you will get a good sense of the model the game has. Because arr is an anomaly; the rest of the game has generally kept a model like we see in Heavensward.
Every time I do the Thordan fight I always shout “FOR HAURCHEFANT!”
What makes the thordan fight even more amazing is canonically its a 13 v 1 fight and you are the victor, it kinda makes sense why the pope asks what are you.
People in the chat who kept saying ''summoner seemed to forget rez'' are so weird.
I wouldn't rez either because it's better if the healer respawns, because like that they won't receive a Weakness dbuff. Even if they didn't rez, why does that matter? The healer uses a teleport and will be right behind you in a minute.
Typing this as I watch the Thordan fight. If you have the time Rewatch the fight and then look up Final Fantasy VII summon Knights of the Round. It's a nod to it.

heavensward S rank hunt marks can just be killed by anyone, u dont hafta wait for hunt trains. best ettiquette is to notify other people tht there is an S rank and wait about 5 to 10 minutes for people to show up
