  1. Most of the pictures of the Imperator Somnium is from my mod (Skalgrim Mod) for Battle Fleet Gothic Armada 2. Its playable (just as is the Bucephalus, altough its renamed as the Lux Imperator and 150 other added ships) in the campaign and skirmish mode.

  2. I think it would be cool if they were all 1 big robot kinda like power Rangers accept one would be a key and the giant robot made of the primarchs flagships and the emporor ship would be the only thing big enough to use and turn the key that opens up maybe like a blackstone fortress of the subway or who knows what a big robot

  3. GW writers: what should we give the Khan when he returns

This video: the ultimate fate of the Buccephalus is unknown as is the reason that the emperor changed ships

Gw writers: WRITE THAT DOWN WRITE THAT DOWN

  4. The Emperor boasting his ship is so large it has it's own gravitional field, whilst being a man of science knowing full well that anything with mass has a gravitational field.

  5. I always assumed that the ship that lands in Descent of Angels was just a dropship carrying the Emperor not the Bucephalus itself, as that was near the size of a continent and would have caused major ecological disasters just by entering the atmosphere

  6. The Ark Mechanicus are the most advanced and powerful vessels of the Imperium. They literally contain STC AI inside of them, like the Speranza from the Priests of Mars novels. It was a ship from the Dark Age that was never completed and they found it in a near-finished state on some planet (or more like part of the planet). That sucker had some kind of time-shift weapon 😅

  7. I always assumed the Bucephalus was the ship the Emperor descended to Olympus Mons on Mars in, so there’s a description of it at the beginning of the Horus heresy book Mechanicum

  8. I was always under the impression the Emperor only exterminated the Xenos who were truly a threat and never truly hated them.

With the extermination of xenos like the diasporix and other peaceful ones (who were a product of Ferris Uncompromising "they were to weak" nature and his narrow world view), just being a product of the primachs or his other forces shitty handling of certin situation than it truly being the Emperors own will.

As I always thought though the Emperors opinion on Xenis are low he never really struck me as having a zeoulous hatred for them and was capable of being reasonable under ideal circumstances.

I think the Emperor is rational enough to understand that not all aliens are evil, but he also knew that after FIVE THOUSAND years of trauma worse than anything in our own
history, it would be hard to let that across to humanity.

Though the five percent of Humanity such as the interex who proved co existence with Xenos is possible under the most ideal circumstances.

The other 95 majority percent of humanity who just came out of the age of strife and who went through a lot, wouldn't be easily convinced. Especially since 95 percent of the human world's who weren't so lucky lived in decrepit hive city and feudal world's with it essentially being the imperium befor the imperium even existed.

That combined with the objective fact that a decent amount, if not most alien races ranged from evil to cosmic horror means that it was easier to just adopt a zero tolerance policy, the guy couldnt even convince his people he wasnt a god, he wasnt gonna let humans just accept some xenos existing without it creating huge strife. That would ofc make his small timeframe for galactic conquest unachievable which was kind of the main motivator than just blind hate for no reason.

So in short i think he himself was probably not a fan of xenos and defently did not like them but it didnt manifest in a fanatical hatred that he couldnt be rational about it.

For instance before Fulgrim lowkey clutched the destruction of the Laer empire The Emperor was considering having them as a protectorate since the Crusades were already coming to end and humanity had managed to throughly establish itself assuring nothing could really bring mankind down. He didn't have much of a reason to go after Xenos any more as his main objective of solidifying the imperium was largely complete.

He suggested it to Fulgrim before he fervently refused. Though it was more of a suggestive heads up and just wanted to see how some of the Primachs would react he genuinely did at least consider it.

these very much not human Xenos who worshiped Chaos specifically slanaashe were almost inducted in to the imperium. Though admmidelty the Emperor didn't know at the time which further compounds the fact the Emperor was more than willing to include them.

So in short i think he thought having genocide as the default option was the quickest way to make a unified human empire across the whole galaxy possible without taking any chances as just one wrong alliance when the imperium was still very young would have ment the End for the imperium.

Especially since Xenos like the Rangdang and the slaugh existed who's entire schtick is mind controlling of lesser races and deceitful sleeper agent subterfuge where they would infiltrate an Empire and bring it down from the inside. And there have been reported of the rangdang dismantling an entire pocket human Empire government apart within the Empire itself in just 1 dacade during the rangdang Xenos side though this is a frindge report it's not out of possibility.

Lets not forget that peacefull civilisations like the lnterex were gonna be included, or at
least not genocided and it only happened because Erebus exists.

And largely didn't care and mostly used the anti Xeno policy given the fact the ratio between hostil and non hostil Xenos was nothing to joke about cuppold with the fact it would have been difficult to intigrate and actually have the rest of Humanity accept them without it slowing down the Crusades and just waited till after everything was built and relatively stable before he considered bringing Xenos in to the fold.

Was he right long term: No and just little bit yes as the logic at the time did make sense; as due to the ratio of peaceful and Hostil was so deluded it wasn't really totally ideal.

But I do agree long term the destruction of said Xenos would make things harder down the line and the Emperor should have put more effort in to trying to carve out there place in the newly founded imperium. But I would say though I dont agree he did make an "Ok" Call at least at the time.

The Emperor is far from good and he wasn't completely right when it comes to some of his stances, and was a genuine Prick but despite his blinding galaxy sized Big fat Ego he was not stupid as it was better to play it safe at such a critical time. And having genocide as the default till you won though screwed up did at least make logical sense when relating to the 40k universe itself. But that's just my opinion.

  9. My theory is that the Bucephalus was destroyed or damaged beyond repair during the Rangdan xenocides. The Emperor the built his second ship either from scratch or incorporating the original hull of the Bucephalus into the Imperator Somnium

  10. When it comes to Ships they could tie up plot holes by saying its the same Ship renamed as happens in the real world when a ship changes owner or sometimes after a refit

  11. I'd 2:29:00 I'd like to remind people that Alexander the Great also loved his femboys. Therefore big E is 100% Bisexual. Alexander also loved buetiful women as well, he slept with entire cities worth of female prostitutes. Alexander did not discriminate. Everyone could get a slice of the Golden Pie.
