The Eldritch Comedy RPG | Rhapsody Plays Shadows Over Loathing

Shadows Over Loathing is a comedy RPG themed after H. P. Lovecraft’s mythos. The game features snappy dialogue laden with clever, silly humour, as well as a fair amount of contextual, referential, and sight gags. Developed by Asymmetric, the game can be bought from Steam at – https://store.steampowered.com/app/1939160/Shadows_Over_Loathing/

Hey there, I’m Ryan or Rhapsody here on the internet. I make gaming videos, most often in the let’s play format. I usually focus on strategy and indie games, but I tend to record whatever really takes my fancy at the time. If you’re interested in the commentary I provide be sure to tune in as I release new videos each and every weekday. Thanks for watching the video above and also for taking the time to read this and hopefully I’ll see you next time.

  1. I have been anticipating this series from you since the game released! West of Loathing was my first exposure to your channel and your content always makes my day. Thanks for all the great videos Rhaps

  2. Leaving a comment to say that I'm EXTREMELY excited to watch this playthrough, but I'm waiting to play it myself.

Definitely a series I'll let play out at minimim sound so Rhaps still gets the deserved support for this adventure!

  3. If you do decide to read some Lovecraft, I'd suggest either "At the Mountains of Madness" or "The Dream-Quest of Unknown Kadath." Two of his better works, IMO, and I don't think either of them gets too tainted by his various prejudices, which can make reading some of his works rather unconfortable.

  4. Banger series already, feels very lovecrafty though if you are going to read lovecraft be kinda aware that its very dated, kinda racist and sometimes goes into absurd detail on irrelevant things but still withstands the test of time nontheless, I strongly suggest either the call of cthulu or at the mountains of madness
