The leveling System does stack, so you could simply not Level to get 3x +5 and it should just carry over.
Jon's entering that part of the game where everyone and their dog is wearing enchanted endgame gear, prepare to have more money you know what to do with!
Jon I've just started watching the episode and you may know this by the time I watch the rest but you can stack effects meaning you could have 3 of the same spell fortifying speed and use all 3 of them one after the other for ridiculous zoomies
I'm kind of disappointed that the spells weren't called "Speed" and "Speed 2: Cruise Control."
So Jon, do bear in mind you can drink four of those potions at once, not just one 😉
"The fastest way to get there is either Skingrad or Anvil."
Jon, come on. Kvatch is right there! Are you avoiding it on purpose or something?
Spiffing Brit eat your heart out, Jon is becoming the new uber min/maxer! 😛
You are so fast it hurts! Luckily to be that fast you have to be good at restoration magic. I love how fast you are now. Zoom!
Just imagine Everyone huddled in kvatch just thinking "He's definitely forgotten about us"
Hi Jon, I think you may want to know before you go on an enchanting spree that when you level up the Sigil Stones you find are getting better as well. Noticeably better.
Always greatly looking forwards to these!
Hey pst, try weakness to magic 😉
Really enjoying this playthrough. Thanks 👍
Can't wait when you'll encounter those higher lever things in the wild or Oblivion gates, like minotaurs, spider daedras etc! Hopefully you will play at least to lvl 20
3rd attempt: If you want to get a certain master level summoning spell to upgrade your Dremora, you should see Volanaro in the Bruma Mages guild. Even if you can't cast it yet, you might want to get it. You're getting closer to the point in the mages guild questline after which you won't be able to buy that spell from him anymore. And he's the only one who's selling it.
37:00 If they didn't want everyone murdered they shouldn't have sent Jon, their track-record is very clear about that.
N'Gasta would be pronounced Nah,gasta not Engasta. The Morrowind voice actors famously screwed this up by mispronouncing 'N'wah' why they don't get corrected when they make a mistake in voice recording is anyone's guess.
Man, Jon took one hit of speed and he got immediately addicted. Say no to drugs, kids.
If you ever get around to playing Morrowind, you'll see why mysticism seems so lackluster in Oblivion: it used to have levitate and teleport spells. Levitation made game design more difficult since they couldn't rely on high ledges or long falls to limit player movement. Teleport spells were replaced by free map travel; that also meant axing Morrowind's system of boats, silt strider caravans, and mages guild teleport altars, which can take a while to learn but feels very immersive.
Look even further back in ES history and there's actual free-climbing mechanics; you can just scale the sides of people's houses.
Loving you love this game.
I'm really looking forward to the episode where we see Jon running backwards with an arrow just hanging in front of him unable to catch up.
Jon is so close to discovering that atheltics and acrobatics has no skill cap.
in this episode, Jon comes to the realization and understanding that one of the main appeals of Oblivion and Morrowind is that you can progressively turn yourself into a living god of the universe through explotation of the 100% completely fair and balanced definitely not looked over game mechanics.
"It just works." -Todd howard
Jon, that's correct, the orrery here was the inspiration for the one in Skyrim, as it states in the latter game.
Someone needs to make a mod to put The Flash's outfit in this game for Jon to wear.
You might be hurting yourself every time you go downstairs, but considering you need to boost restoration anyway that just sounds like an opportunity.
Jon Avoiding Kvatch even when its his closest city to a quest, classic
Jon, the damage going down stairs problem can be solved by toggling walking. Check the controls and keybindings to see what it's bound to.
RIP to the count of Kvatch. He survived for months holed up in his castle, but a hero (perhaps a hero of Kvatch) never came to save him, and he eventually starved.
Thank you for your awesome playthrough! 🙂
i tested on your behalf something mentioned in the Morrowind alchemy primer – you can indeed use the other two ingredient slots in your potion making to cure poison, thus removing negative effects from your custom potions 😉
Jon getting distracted by trying to make his character run faster and faster is hilarious and I'm all for it.
Jon, you're always mentioning your carry capacity, but I don't see you making Feather potions or enchanting rings and amulets with it. Seriously, if you do that you won't have to worry about carry weight ever again. Feather even makes you faster.
If you need a merchant with more money, there's Rowley Eardwulf at Wawnet Inn. He's added by the Deepscorn Hollow DLC, has 2000 gold and his skill is only Apprentice. He's the one I sell most of my loot to.
Just for funsies, make a fortify speed spell that you can cast on others and cast it on your horse.
The biggest reward from repairing the orrery that isn't advertised is that the greater powers granted by the repaired orrery also adds the drain attribute spell effect to your available effects for custom spells and enchanting. There are some really good metas that use drain attribute spells. For example, if you drain enough speed from someone, you paralyze them, and you can drain speed for much longer than you can paralyze someone due to spell cost differences. Enchant a bow with drain speed and 2 seconds of weakness to magic, apply poison, and watch the full damage of the poisons you create be delivered without the possibility of the enemy responding. Attacking from stealth? The enemy cannot turn around to detect you, allowing you to chain sneak attacks as well.
If you're going to be a speed addict, then may I suggest getting the lightest gear possible and making it travel gear? Basically you'd run between places like Sonic the Hedgehog and then can swap to normal gear to actually fight
00:33 oh no Jon is going to Threshold himself hehehe
You know, about that Fortify Speed potion… I wonder just who decided Pears were poisonous. Pears are delicious. What did a pear tree do to that developer to get slandered like that?
All of this, to turn a human being into this 🔋
Hi John, you do not need strenght for carry capacity, just do Feather spell or potion 🙂 you can do 100 points of carry capacity with one potion easily, but i still prefer some kind of buff spell, which you can pop every few minutes to keep the carry capacity
Meanwhile back in Kvatch, the guards and soldiers are still waiting for our "hero" to return to save the towns people.
