  1. Damn this was nostalgic! I was a huge power miners fan back in the day and I particularly remember importing a second wave set from america to get my hands on it early before it was released in the UK. I don’t actually remember ever seeing that particular set in the UK and have no recollection of the third wave either. Such a shame it was discontinued so quickly.

  2. ngl, one problem i had, along with others that lived around where i grew up, was wave 2 and 3 packs were constantly missing a lot of parts. might have just been bad luck but it seemed to be a common thing

  3. I only ever got one of the sets as a kid but I always loved it and wished they made more, along with more Space Police 3 sets. I really loved those lines and it was a shame they both went away so quickly.

  4. I remember owning some of these sets as well as a space police set unfortunately the sets have long since been disassembled I wish i kept it intact seeing as these are quite sought after nowadays

  5. I absolutely loved PowerMiners, and still pick up the sets when I can. I think this is where I developed a love of the color lime green, which turns out to be a good color for this summer's wave of City sets–such as the grocery store and passenger train!

  6. well… I didn't hear about power miners probably because of the discontinuation, and because I was only a year old when the theme was released so the is the first time I've heard about it.

  7. There was a point in my childhood where I actually had every single Power Miners set. Still my favourite Lego theme of all time to this very day.

  8. i rly loved the Power Miners Theme. As a kid i had almost all of the first two waves and i loved them. It was so much fun to just drive around with those Sets. Best set in my opinion will always be the Big Drill mashine you mentioned.

  10. When I was a kid, this theme was hands down my favorite along with Lego SW. I grabbed every set I could and made a point of collecting all the different rock monsters. LEGO showing off combining the different sets sold it the most for me in retrospect. It lead to many happy hours of building the wildest mining machines I could imagine when I got bored with the intended design. And best of all, my creation looked more or less at home in the theme. No randomly colored blocky abominations like many of my SW mocs at that age. You were given the means to build and expand upon the theme without any of your work looking like it was out of place.

  11. I thought these sets were called lego clutch powers because o had seen an old movie where a character named like that used a hole bunch of the machines on the sets and faced some of these rock monsters
