The Doom timeline is long and complicated. This story takes place over multiple versions of Earth as the UAC sought to experiment with advanced technology. The Doomguy took down many demons through his exploration of Hell, Argent D’Nur and Hell.

In this video, I explore the whole history and story of Doom. Although the Doomguy was not able to save his rabbit, Daisy, he did save the universe from the evil actions of Davoth, the Icon of Sin, the Khan Maykr and many more entities that sought only to inflict harm.

  14. I almost feel like the entire Doom story is a parody. Like they thought "no one plays Doom for the story so we're just gonna throw a bunch of contrived bs in and people can read into it if they want to". So it's there, but just in the background but ultimately doesn't matter.

  24. I find it interesting that the first structures created in Urdak and Jekked were almost organic looking white with black orbs. It makes me think of when Hugo Martin mentioned that "some believe the realms of Urdak and Jekked are alive in a way that's incomprehensible to human minds".

    Another thing you will notice is that even the super advanced technology almost acts as wallpaper for the organic white structure and black orbs. For example when you look at the room where the Doom Slayer was Imbued with Davoths power, the machine itself has an almost organic look to it, that is just masked by the technology and metal plates. Even the black orbs of the original white structure are apparent even when covered up by the metal plating of the late realms of Urdak and Jekked.

  29. 3:07:44 I think the first movie is supposed to be a reimagining of Doom 1's backstory. You have a commanding officer going insane and ordering his squad to slaughter civilians. And you have one soldier who refuses and ultimately kills his commander.

  33. I liked Doom Lore best when it was just demon slaying because some coorperation teleported into hell.
    All this new lore stuff where demons have names, it's boring and unnecessary to me in such a way that it get's in the way.

  38. The Wretch is possibly another sentinel. Wretch is said from the perspective of the demons, and it is not capitalized. It's used on other occasions too to signify a non-demon.
