The #Dahab Blue Hole, nestled along the #Red #Sea #coastline of Egypt, has long attracted #divers from all walks of life. With its crystal-clear waters and vibrant #coral #reefs, it is a diver’s #paradise. But beyond its scenic beauty lies a foreboding aura, a place where danger lurks beneath the surface.
Due to its depth and topography, many scientists believe this blue hole to be the result of a direct hit from a #meteorite. This cavernous #crater stretches more than 120 meters into the depths of the red sea. Its 6 meter entrance, called “the #saddle”, lies along the Dahab shore, before plunging straight down for another 120 meters. About 60 meters down, divers will encounter “the #arch”, a narrow tunnel which stretches for 26 meters, before flowing into the open sea.

I'm always surprised by how quickly professional divers still succumb to minor mistakes. I suppose it just goes to show why practice is so important when doing any activity that could be considered high risk.

Jeez man… the narrative is so dramatic. And a lot of it is just speculation about Yuri was experiencing, since no one can know. I get that this genre is full of this kind of narrating but I'd prefer something different. Not sure what exactly, I understand you have to fill the time with something… Still gave you a thumbs up though. Good video and production.

Actually, he overshot his dive, and went straight to the bottom. He died very quickly in a matter of minutes after panicking, the effects of the gases, and then taking his equipment off. No "exploring" there.
