I have some coworkers and relatives who believe society would unravel and the country would fall apart after legalization. It been legal since 2018 and the place hasn't gone downhill because of pot .There hasn't been an increase in traffic fatalities or schizophrenia since legalization and those statistics have been closely tracked . We can't blame gas prices , the war in Ukraine or high rates of recidivism on pot. The Gateway theory is something the flatearthers believe so that's all I have to say about that.

Marijuana is a more safer drug my older cousin of 36 years did a year in prison and he was violent when he came back. I made him start smoking weed and he's been better ever since. Has a job now. Still cuts up now and again, but he's been on track for 6 months now, smoking when he can

I don't think it was so unknown. Probably big pharmaceutical corporations were lobbying so that they don't lose profits from synthetic drugs, as marijuana would become a replacement for a lot of them

It is bizarre how marijuana is deemed so dangerous yet alcohol is legal when alcohol is responsible for so much death and destruction. As a bumper sticker I once saw stated "The only thing marijuana kills is time".
A lot of marijuana in different countries is banned, so dealers spray synthetic cannabinoids… these ruin peoples lives.
