The disastrous demise of Lidia Thorpe

Lidia Thorpe’s erratic outbursts have become a fixture of the Australian parliament. The wayward senator’s aggressive style of using violence and offensive language to push her message about the plight of Indigenous people has put many of her colleagues and the Australian public offside.

Sky News All Stars Andrew Bolt, Paul Murray and Caroline De Russo reveal the moments that compelled Australia to turn its back on Lidia Thorpe.

  1. She has severe mental issues.
In her current state of mind, she will not seek help.
Someone, that she will listen to needs to help her (If she will listen)
How the hell did she EVER get into parliament, what does that tell us about the rest of them?
Although I must agree with the NO vote (Not sure if she is doing this for the same reason)
Voting YES, will separate US, and will take more rights away from our Indigenous people, who we support and care about.

  2. From my perspective, the media is playing the wrong game with this rabid bitch; just like they are doing with trump.
Simply do not report anything about what this 'thing' does. (I refuse to use the word 'she' as it would be an insult to all people who identify as 'she'). This 'thing' only does what the 'thing' does because the 'thing' knows it will get media coverage and it is media coverage the 'thing' craves. Without the media coverage, the Thing will go away.

  3. While most of what you say is true…After listening to Lidia Thorpes speech at the National Press Club I think she has been out of touch with the Australian public. Maybe she has been blinded by hype from SBS and ABC and social medias constant barrage that we Aussies are all racists. If you listen to the speech I think the majority of Aussies would be willing to discuss her ideas further. She was very different to everything we have seen up to that day. She presented lots of good possible resolutions…to be discussed and negotiated. Everyone please listen to the speech..she did not do the drama thing. The good thing about the voice is lots of research and history is coming to light, lots of First Nation peoples are speaking up.We need truth, all truth, Australian truth, not views by those who do not know our history. We need more time to talk with our indigenous brothers and sisters to heal the land. We need truth without interference from all the haters…to bring healing. The government should not be forcing a solution on all of us. They should have facilitated conversations of truth not forcing a referendum. Please listen to the National Press Club speech.

  5. One would think that there would legal machinery by which people like Thorpe could be expelled for bringing Parliament into disrepute. Notice that there is no credible group of indigenous people publicly backing her.

  6. Turns out giving woman the vote really was the thin end of the wedge, and then t his is what happens when you let women into Parliament, mind you I would rather live next door to this lady than I would the horrible, evil, biased bastard that owns this channel. Murdoch is pretty much everything that is wrong with the human race, all rolled into one megalomaniac.

  7. I wonder if there's something medical wrong with her? Because she wasn't always like this, and she seems to be getting "worse." You know? Don't y'all have universal healthcare for everyone in Australia? I live in the United States, where we don't
