I'm sad and by this news I always liked him on Matlock never was a big fan of Texas Walker Ranger but he was great on Matlock he has his private eye and I know that he's become a teacher that UNLV and he apparently has done a lot with the theater and acting program there and I know the people that University are sorely missing him cuz he obviously had a lot to give to his students in a ton of talent that can rub off on them cuz he was an amazing actor it just sucks that he died at 66 cuz that's still kind of young but I suspected he had some kind of illness that none of us knew about. It's too bad he will be sorely missed may you rest in peace Clarence. And now he and Andy Griffith can be together in heaven

RIP Clarence Gilyard aka James Trivette, I’ve always watched him only on WTR. He was one hell of a great partner to Chuck Norris’ Cordel Walker character. Without the chemistry of them two gentlemen, the show would’ve never succeeded as one of the best prime time shows ever.
