My god. I played D1 heavily and D2 as well but stopped before the first DLC. I mean let’s be real it was time consuming to try hard and run dungeons lol.

Ok let me spin a theory here, the gaurdian team seen in the live action trailer, the hunter is shaw han. It’d make sense because maeve was the female warlock and cas was the titan. It’d make sense since they were deployed in the cosmodrome when they were originally from there in destiny 1.
I mean, the helmet stayed lore, did come out before the Christmas holiday lore so honestly, if you went with that as the time placement, it’s most likely that Shaxx fell in love after that one night most likely getting it on with Mara and then during the holiday he was trying to figure out a gift for her, but he ended up reminding her of her deceased lover.
speaking of the korean vendor, my fireteam headed to the tower to chill out for a bit before doing some gm's and we ran into some koreans and starting chatting through google translate, after a bit one of them remembered the vendor so we asked about her and they knew her so we went over and she was actually there, we thought it would be more actual world location based not just connect to a korean instance
I can tell you a bit about why horns did not come back. They were introduced to Destiny 1 after the team had been split into D1 and D2 development. That code never existed in Destiny 2 at all, and no one has decided that it is worth the resources to add it in (and make sure it doesn't break anything) even with the prospect of monetising it.
If they do make d3 they better release ALL D2 Content from red war to present otherwise id have waisted the £25 i paid for that game. But really seems stupid to go from live service to a new game (live or otherwise)

Except where I already saw your video on holes in Guardians, the bottom of the iceberg was all pretty much unknown to me. Then again, it's kind of old and irrelevant. Like me… lol
I think my favorite little piece of information is that in the earlier stages of the first Destiny, Peter Dinklage was the voice for our beloved Ghost.
I have 2 theories:
1. Piri Reis exist as a Guardian. You can find a Ghost shell named Iris Map that should be his.
2. The original Guardian that created the exotic helmet The Stag, is the founder of the Binary Star Cult.
27:46 I remember this in Yr 1 being an absolute pain but it was fixed along with melee wiffs. I still get this stupidly frequently with the melee wiff in D2 cause low population in Trials ect now it is 100% in D2 and even more of an issue at least for me. I got so many clips of that happening.

45:05 the fireteam in the lightfall intro cutscene is confirmed to be Shayura, Aisha, and Reed-7, namesakes of Shayura's Wrath, Aisha's Embrace, and Reed's Regret. The fireteam is composed of a Hunter, Titan, and Warlock (Aisha, Reed-7, and Shayura respectively) like the original fireteam however the hunter in the original is male instead of female and the titan is a human instead of an exo. Reed-7 was the only one of the three to die a final death in the lightfall intro.
