I finally hit 1347 GS but the game is just dreadful. AGS Is hell bent on catering to huge whales, I bought the level 50 crystal chest only, played the market. I'm sure it wouldn't have been long before I hit 1370 but what is the point when most players are bots. The more they release the more they make it clear the F2P and those who spend <$100 are insignificant the 1340-1370 game is just too big with nothing to really do in between. I just hit the uninstall button today and I have no regrets. No new players are coming to the game. The moment they see the bots they up and quit. <50 is pretty much single player, a mate told me took him 20 mins to do a killing quest because the bots autokill everything in a split second. I'm sure there are more bots than players at this point. I just can't, AGS have killed yet another game. Also we have a run down version of the game. Wtf is that about? It's clearly a cash grab every update, they're making it more and more obvious. My trust in them has completely gone, NW now this.
What is the minimum to be considered a whale?
i spend about 1500 every 30 days. that's a limit i put on myself just so i don't go overboard.
i only get to play 2 days a week, about 10 hours a day.l, the rest of the time im literally working.

I have the name "Ark" but the game is full of bots and gave up after around 200 hours.
I'll never understand people defending this "alt progression" thing. I want to play my character, not a dozen alts just in order to progress my main.

Rpg ftp is dead. There's one game still ftp among all… It's warframe ladies and gentleman. The only game where U can trade some sindicate mod to get the weapons and frames slots… Yes people. Ninjas plays free xD

The "you don't pay for it" argument is moronic. You always pay. In cash shop P2W mmos there are two kinds of people. The ones who pay tons of money (the whales) and the ones who pay minimal amounts or nothing. The second group is not the customer of the game. The "free" players are not gamers, they are employees of the company, they just don't realize it. They are in effect NPCs that exist to populate the world and lose to the whales so the whales feel that the money they paid was worth it. The "free" players pay in a much more valuable commodity than money; they pay with TIME and time is the one recourse that you cannot regenerate, ever.
Now here is the sad fact: BOTH groups are morons. The "free" players are morons because they waste their time in frustration, endlessly trying to catch up to the whales and end up not enjoying the game.
The "whales" are also morons because they feed into a delusion that they "stomp" others and end up in a little power tripping fantasy land where they constantly try to ignore they sad reality that they only win because they pay money; but the truth is always there in the back of their minds, sapping all real sense of accomplishment.
In a "p2w" mmo, nobody wins, nobody is actually having fun. The sooner people realize it and stop playing such games, the sooner the companies will be forced to abandon that model.
ARK doesn't even try to retain F2P players – or even dolphins who might spent several hundred dollars….
They are going WHALING.

Bro the maximum I spent in a month was 1k. It was a waste of money… it´s always a waste of money. But what should I do with my money if I play computert games all day? For me it´s hard to decide in real life if i want big tomato, small, cherry tomato… so much to choose from and sometimes i buy nothing beacuse i have too much to choose from…
With all the discontent I see, why even waste ur time playing a game which only values whales. Move on and let the game die slowly once the whales start leaving the game.

I know I'm late to the party but as soon as I saw it was being published by Amazon Shit Games Studios I decided then and there not to spend a dime on the game other the founder pack.
With AGS's history of not delivering games and delivering shit games I immediatly knew they would be able to somehow fuck up this golden ticket server on a silver platter.

I love that like every new mmo comes out everyone loves it and then the youtubers get bored of it and start making the “fall of, decline of, death of” videos. I am glad I have some sense and haven’t touched any of these mmos, or mmos in general. Microtransactions will dominate all facets of gaming. Even in paid, subscription based games. Soon you’ll literally be able to pay to have your acc friggin run like a bot for you… the allure of these new mmos is being in om the ground floor of something with the potential of being as huge as everquest and vanilla wow were. But the era of mmos are gone. Gen z and younger people do not have the patience to learn mechanics or actually grind. The problem is everyone has nostalgia glasses on and they forget that before wow blew up that mmos were for a type of nerd that even the nerdiests of nerds couldn’t handle lol. I just don’t think people are willing to put the time it takes into mmos to make them feel magical without tempting the customer’s instant gratification instincts.
Sitting on 1380 waiting for reset to get the last 3 piece of Argos gear with 100% f2p. Making 10-15k a day and making even more gold on "Shroud-like" dumass players who got raised totally wrong and dont even know the term "patience"…..So funny to see he swiped so much to get to Argos which i reached 3 days after him spending only 15€ on the bronze pack hahahaha. Very big skillfull streamers thoose are.
I know he spends that much couse he can and its also content…..but thoose kind of content creators are the reason that thoose lvl of p2w is even existing in a game…They telling you "Maaaan that mount is 2000€ wooooow, but what is 2000€ anyway?" So viewers with an 800-900€ monthly income can go and feel even more shitty about themselvs even online now….

p2w would be a totally legit arguement if there would be really anything to win by swiping. PVP equalised, Abyss, raids actually anything else doesnt matter…..I mean if i go to an abyss i just happy to see high ilvl whales couse i know it will be an easy clear.
So what you winning actually? Time. You get to stages of the game a bit earlier than a f2p player……in my case that was 3 days difference comparing myself to a whale who spent 5k dollars….
You can decide if it was worth or not……so p2w definetly not a must and if you choose to do so the gains/investment ratio can end up pretty high not even talking about if you have really bad rng.
Hindsight is 20/20, but it was pretty apparent before as well that there was a good chance the early Argos release was just a mistake…
so rich people get more… how is this something new? I see rich people getting more donations than hospitals, whats new? Same mentality apply to games, in the end money is all that matter to companies and nothing else matters.
I am surprised that Asmon is naive enough to believe in that gamble 14million thing, neh man thats some digital currency bitcoin scam if I even seen one. Don't believe the numbers those number would have inspections looking into it, Twitch promoting gambling is also heavy questionable. All this stuff is extremely dark actually.
Make 5 alts and funnel them one by one into T3 (~1325) … you will be able to push your main with them into top ilvl, but you will need to funnel T3 honing stuff to just one charachter. It is time-consuming but is possible. The more alts you have, the more able you are to push more alts from T1 to T2 and up.

It's not p2w but if you can't wait then it will be it's a very patient inclusive mmo if you can't wait or grind then yes it is on the other side it's a free game so it was kinda gonna happen with having purchases in-game
