  1. I love it. Really feels like a horror from beyond the rim. Will be interesting to see how big the model is relative to other minis. I'm guessing about the size of Illuminator Szeras?

  2. I love the cape tailcoat thing. It reminds me of vampire squids and it's just cool. It makes it look regal and like the king of assassins! I think it takes everything good from the old model, makes it better and adds new stuff. I'm honestly fine with it switching up the Tyranid body plan. It's keeping the six limbs, and the pyschophage changed how tyranid bodies worked so I don't see why this can't.

  3. Im really curious what the spike tail on the head actually is. The Deathleaper does have a tail still. It runs down the spine of the cloak and is curling up into the front of the model.

  4. He is build with psychological aspects and lessons… i think its cool… something like a kellermorph with a dedicated purpose.. to look terrifying and cool at the same time

  5. It isn't really a 'cape' at all – it is a modified tale that seems to have a function closer to the sort of organic mantle found on species of octopus and squid that are often used in camouflage by those species by breaking up their silhouette and so fooling the pattern recognition that almost all forms of sight are based upon.

  6. We knew it was coming, GW is removing all the finecast stuff, so there will be a plastic lictor, biovore, pyrovore, I suspect the ravaners getting replaced too,

  7. The Doom was a Zoan that was among other bugs that boarded an Aeldari craftworld. It found its way to their Infinity Circuit (soul storage of the entire Craftworld) and gorged. Then it snapped their ship in half with a thought. The Doom is epic and needs a sculpt to match its amazing lore. Also, adore the new Leaper. She will be an amazing centrepiece along side new lictor models (I’m begging GW) and VR Leapers in the upcoming stealth based detachment with full Nid codex.

  8. I love the cape. I agree it's goofy, but it's hard to distinguish a tyranid character for a regular nid. I think it's a great way to make deathleaper look awesome. Sometimes you just gotta embrace the goofiness

  9. The Deathleaper is the best genestealer cults mini GW ever released. Like for real, it's a great model, but it is just too far removed from what the deathleaper was to me. To me, he was the character version of the leaper, which was in turn just a ripoff of Ridley Scott's Alien. Now he looks like a Lovecraftian inspired children's birthday party magician that's bouta drop the sickest balloon animal trick of the 41st millennium.

  10. The new model is awesome. Yes, there are some departures from the standard but let's hope those will be exceptions rather than the new trend. I feel like the new Neurotyrant is a spiritual successor to the Doom of Malan'tai and the new sculpt for it (the Doom) is a longshot. Seeing how the Death Leaper came out I can't wait to see what they will do with Genestealers 🙂
