Thanks to the Monterey Bay Aquarium and their research and technology partner MBARI for partnering with us on this episode of SciShow. They worked together on an exhibition, “Into The Deep: Exploring Our Undiscovered Ocean,” to give visitors to the Aquarium a rare look at some of the animals that thrive in the least-explored area of the planet, the deep sea! Head to https://www.montereybayaquarium.org/visit/exhibits/into-the-deep to learn more or follow them on their social media.
As far as slugs go, sea angels are pretty adorable. But they’re also pretty ferocious predators, in an evolutionary race with their prey, the sea butterfly.

Would liked to have seen a few videos of sea angel eating and close ups of the parts
I've seen Sea Angels also referred to as, "Naked Sea Butterflies" — 4 years ago some washed up in the Outer Banks and the news articles referred to them as that.
The mouth of this looks like those Squid monsters from Lost planet 2 in a way. God, those things were terrifying.
So a Sea Angel is basically a Sea Faring French Slug , Who likes to Eat Escargot on the Go. Will Wonders Never Cease
G Darius – The Embryon .
Damn should be called sea demons
Since they are closely related … could have started it as cannibalism?
Boring…..snore.
These animals are amazing there's so strange that they actually exist it's so terrifying they can do that too hunt their prey
Here are some interesting things about Sea Angels if your interested
The Deadly Sea Angle (SciShow)- https://youtu.be/6EGOQHrZ6Kw
Fun fact: Sea Angels mouth is on their head, so to eat their head splits open to reveal tentacle like things that tear away at their prey.
Be Not Afraid
Nothing evolved.
Thank you for a very interesting video! This is all very nice information which I use in the development of a creature for my game and books, a creature which is based on the sea angel 🙂
Dave the diver bought me here. Such cute little creatures.
Oceanids?
According to Dave the Diver, they can be as large as 999cm. IFYKYK
Ah the lovely sea angel. If you're a fan of Battle Cats, it's known as Cruel Angel Clionel, Cli-One, Death Angel Z-Onel, and Great Angel Chibinel. If you're a fan of Darius, that's The Embryon.
so sad that you didn't show us the tentacles of sea angels
