I live by used book stores!
I've never read this one but I've heard for years the same thing – that's its supposed to be the worst DL book ever. That's a bold statement as there have been some stinkers (Verminaard, the Young Adults series, the Jean Rabe Fifth Age books, etc). Very curious to hear your review as it will be a while before I get to read this one, thanks!
I used to have every Dragonlance book that came out until the early 2000s. Once the 5th age books by Jean Rabe came out I started drifting towards Terry Pratchett Discworld series. For the life of me I cannot remember a single thing that happens in this book. So it must be very forgettable
Hello Adam DL Saga Worst ever that should be a fun review haha But just talking Deagonlance is always cool
Woops Dragonlance
Typed it wrong do not sick the Dark Queen on me haha
Your Mileage will vary if you enjoy the Time of Istar, Takhisis being a subversive & seductive b*tch (I compare her to a Spoiled Child with Unimaginable Godly Powers) & seeing why her 1st Plot to Reincarnate into the Time of Istar didn't happen.
It involves Albino Elven Slaves mining for crystals beneath Istar & a Priest being tricked into trying to help Takhisis.
Beyond that, I wouldn't want to spoil the details.
Yes it's a 6/10 Book for Dragonlance, only because there are so many more fun & interesting books under the Brand.
If you like Godly Dragonlance Stories, this is a great book!
Since Takhisis is my go-to for Evil Gods, I enjoyed the heck out of it because you know from the start that she doesn't succeed but every page up to the end makes you think she's 1-step away from winning everything, forever.
I don't know what fans expect from a Takhisis-centric story but I read this book before the Sacred Fire Trilogy.
Really sets the stage for what comes after!
(Got somewhere close to 300 on my bookshelf. Currently reading Elven Nations Trilogy for the 13th time.) (Stopped counting at this point. I reread the Best of DL every year)
