  1. Honestly, this version of the game is far superior to the original. I'm surprised the original was popular enough to spin off the number of games it has. It looks and plays like garbage for 1988 (the first TMNT arcade game came out a year later, while the original Double Dragon arcade game was a year earlier. Both of these games look, sound and play better). Clearly, this version did some heavy lifting for its survival in Japan.
