I'm thinking a ship was either sunk in a naval battle or skuttled by it's crew. While watching this episode, I pictured the treasure hiders ran their ship aground and then somehow worked to undermine it and send it far underground… but that's not likely.

Where they will spin clock wise and counter clock wise I've only known 2 people that couldn't do it
I used to dowse for veins of water and metals , some spots were so strong like reverse energy like in 40's with reverse polar positive and negative on old school tractors negative was positive
