  1. I think as the genre matures I wanna see more games that push the boundaries, target a mature audience instead of children. I remember seeing Evertale ads being full of horror and lore, but the actual game not having any of it. If they actually made what their marketing advertises it would be the type of game that reach cult audience appeal, like Undertale. Idk if there's any games in that space in Monster Taming that properly focus on creepy pasta-style horror and lore. Cassette Beasts has some creepy moments, in general the game stays bubbly with a friendly atmosphere. I'm really looking forward to Pry Into The Void, it seems to be right down my alley. Would love to see more of that, dev is quiet on social media but seems to be making steady progress, and just signed with a publisher so it's looking promising.

  2. Is like turning back like It was in the 90's back then when devs had audacity make own Pokémon competitive trend take on popularity. Now Is exact diverse take on "attacking due to low effort or lazy" because they now want on our own. I dont Say Pokemon had Become so much so "stale" ,they saw the opportunity even if not much Grand scale i bet even late bamco are making Digimon games After bein so much put on halt due to Digimon data squad was an huge flop.

  3. 100 percent agree, we are in a big transitional period for monster taming. It feels like the really big "Kickstarter era" is finally over. So many of the releases in the last year or so were crowdfunded, and the pandemic certainly extended development time for so many. I think we'll get another big boom towards the end of 2024 and beginning of 2025. Not to say there's nothing in between then, but it seems like we'll be coasting on releases here and there until the major hitters (Nexomon 3, Lumentale, Kindred Fates) come out. I'm personally really stoked for Dragon Quest Monsters – I loved the DS games.
