  1. What did you think of The Crown Season 6 Part 1? I genuinely thought parts of the final episode where carried out so well. The conversation between Diana and Charles in the final episode was a definite stand out moment for me. Let me know your thoughts below!

  2. The ghost Diana scenes just ruined it for me. Made a tragic event laughable and ridiculous. I’m just grateful they didn’t make ghost Diana speak to the boys. 🤮 I won’t be watching the rest of the season.

  3. I loved it but I’m such a Diana buff that things that are different than what happened stick with me. The final conversation with her boys is off. Both boys said they were very busy and rushed her off the phone…didn’t want to really talk because they wanted to get back to their recreation made them feel tremendous guilt. But the show has these touching “I love you” conversations which is not how Harry and William described them

  5. I had a totally different opinion. Diana was portrayed as a font of wisdom, which I doubt she was. Dodie was portrayed as an immature idiot, which I doubt he was. Their relationship was presented as a rather far fetched miscommunication, which I doubt it was. The season so far seemed as it was thrown together just before the bar closed.

  6. this season brought old memories of Diana death .. Sad situation.. another reminder how these queens and kings are just full of hate and jealousy. These people don’t deserve the love from the world when they don’t care about anyone but them selves..

  7. We have known for five seasons that Hollywood filled in a lot of gaps in the story…I have enjoyed the acting writing and direction…best on television even with the Hollywood imput

  8. I've only watched the first three episodes of S6, but I was shocked by how singleminded and controlling Dodi"s father was. It struck me that his relentless manipulation of the logistics concerning Dodi and Diana lead directly to her death. He wasn't driving the car, but if he had just respected Diana's fervent desire to go home, and listened to Dodi FOR ONCE, the crash would not have happened. I wonder if he was portrayed truthfully, bc if so, wow. Just wow.

  10. This 6 one is all BS!! Awfull! They blamed her death on the Al Fayed family the worst way possible!!! False accusations zero evidence, character assassinations. Afraid of the FIRM? There was no need for this storytelling wise…I hope they get sue to Kingdom Come!!!!!

  12. He didn’t hit another car, he hit the wall of the tunnel. That’s what made it so bad because the car decelerated too quickly and Diana’s aorta burst. It happens a lot in that kind of car accident. A seat belt wouldn’t have saved her.

  13. Peter Morgan loves the symbolism of the stag. He used it in "The Queen" (2006) for which he wrote the screenplay. He also used it in Season 4 of "The Crown" when introducing Diana's character to the series.

  14. I think it was well done. Diana’s character was just lovely, I don’t care for Imelda Stanton as the queen, since I never got over her character in Harry Potter lol. Dodi did very well, as did the children. boy do i wish she’d insisted on going to London instead of heading to Paris. 💔

  15. I wondered why they were making out she had finished with dodi that night.
From the real footage of them in the lift, they looked very close. Holding hands, etc…

  16. Imagine if Catherine were to be hounded like Diana. What’s the difference? Is Catherine not as popular are Diana? I think the PAP would chase Kate if she wasn’t accompanied by Prince William most of the time. Diana was all alone. Charles had a 2nd family in the form of Camilla Parker Bowles & her two kids & he spent most of his time at their home or 5 miles away at his home Highgrove. If Diana had had a husband who spent time with her, she wouldn’t have been traveling around by herself, driving with her boys …and being followed by the paparazzi.

  17. Let's be real, the driver WAS 3x the legal limit, aka drunk AF. Yes, he MAY have been pressured to drive faster due to all the lights in the rear view, but let's be real, that car ride was not going to end well regardless. And let's also not sugar coat the fact that thr queen was not a huge fan of Diane. Period. Yeah, great queen but she was human and had her own beefs with people, she was in no way "perfect." If she didn't pressure her son to marry Diana, none of this would have happened.

  18. I thought it was very tastefully done…and of COURSE every private personal conversation is pure speculation but, just like how every joke contains a kernel of truth, all of that dialogue must've been based on SOMETHING. And lol sigh, I must admit, I did cry a little bit- arrgh they got me!! Cos I remember watching it all on telly, those 2 small boys walking solemnly behind Diana's carriage, the masses of grieving people, the stacks and stacks of flowers and cards and teddybears…it was heart wrenching. Diana was iconic in life AND death, and the way The Firm was so worried about her being a "loose cannon" and overshadowing them rings kinda true- they didn't show her enough respect in life and they took too long to respect her in death…so the way it was all handled on the show was very well done. And bloody hell, if they thought Diana's "antics" were bad, why wasn't Fergie's toesicking tabloid scandal brought up??! Or will that be addressed in the later half of the series?? This is now when the show will have to tread very carefully, cos most of these people are still alive, their relatives are still alive, and if they do carry on further to more modern times I can TOTALLY imagine Harry&Meg sueing gigglesnort. I love "The Crown"…and the way Diana's death was handled actually made Charles seem sympathetic and very human (although the actor doing that lip thing got old pretty fast lol) and the actress playing Diana was BRILLIANT, she had all her mannerisms down pat, well done to everyone involved, it was so so SO very well done, I cannot WAIT for the rest of the season
