😀 A BIT ABOUT US:
We’re Marianne & Chris, a happily married couple from the UK. Marianne is a living kidney donor to her best friend, and realising that life was for living and never really knowing what’s round the corner – we decided to fulfil our dream of travelling full time.

So in March 2018 after the kids had left home, we sold our belongings, rented our house and moved into our campervan called Trudy. We set off to see the world and after vanlifing around Ireland and Europe, we grabbed our backpacks and spent 5 months exploring Central America.

Feeling like we needed a challenge, we planned the ultimate van life adventure! In Jan 2020 set off to drive around the World from UK to UK. But after arriving in Turkey, covid caught up with us and closed the borders, so we had a wonderful 18 months exploring this special country. Realising we were not going to be able to head further East, we decided to do a handbrake turn and go the other way and shipped our van to the USA.

We hope you enjoy coming with us, and we’ll continue to share our real adventures and hope you feel inspire to step out of your comfort zone and try something new.

  1. I would totally be up for the challenge on the sour toe cocktail. To say no would be to admit de-feet!!! 😆🤣 Gnarly is definitely the right word to describe it!

Seeing all of you around the Dempster Hwy sign was so bittersweet. You certainly had many challenges on this chapter. I can honestly say I've never seen a digger pull a vehicle with its bucket. Well done! ❤️❤️😎👍xx

Maybe a bit too late for this tip , but try putting duck tape over the joints on your rear doors . It worked great on our old t4.

  3. I've enjoyed all your videos to the Arctic Ocean! What an adventure! Hope your next video is one of a clean up after all that dust…..you guys showering/washing your hair, washing your clothes, washing the sheets and of course, a good bath for Trudy! It would be so satisfying to watch after that long trip!!! Cheers to dead man toes!

  4. Wow. I am really rethinking whether or not that will remain on my bucket list. I was considering doing that solo, but think perhaps having some company and support is the way to go. Love the adventure – you guys are all so amazing!

  5. That is a lot of dust.Have not liked you constantly spraying with the bear repellent and mosquito sprays .Please read what is used In these sprays because I did not see any local people buying or using them and very concerned re health.Ths best things for mosquitos is the old fashioned fly strips just hung around the van with a little honey to attract them it.The dead man's toe is bit to digest which thankfully no one did.Marianne had better technique she almost managed.the drink without it touching her.Clever lady I think.Maybe you should book in an hotel or air for a couple of days.Am glad that you achieved what you set out to do .It is a pity there was not more wildlife and I think you were very lucky damage wasnt caused by the ferry landing deck.Hopefully you will drive into better weather for the winterx
