  1. watched "Road Warrior" 1st on VHS, I was 12 then watched "Mad Max" the next week. Do yourself a favor and watch I and II…III was a cash grab but Tina Turner's in it and "blaster and master" so worth a watch.

  2. good video, but I didn't like how you kept putting in reaction shots of some random anime looking guy Please don't do that for future videos. I don't need some cue card to tell me how I'm supposed to be reacting.

  3. The narration of the intro to the Road Warrior always made it clear that Mad Max 1 was long after the nuclear wars, the narration being pre-Mad Max 1. Mad Max 1 also implies radioactive areas via road signs. The Main Force Patrol is a shadow of society trying to hold things together LONG after the break down post “the mighty warrior tribes” that destroyed everything in the world. I don’t understand why modern day fans don’t understand what every kid in 1982 understood perfectly well. Even the TV guides in USA stated Mad Max 1 as “post apocalyptic” which only means one thing. Hence nothing strange when Thunderdome came out with radioactive fallout everywhere. I wish keyboard warrior comic book readers would stop messing up basic 80’s movies plots that are flawless. Fury Road et al, are what we GenXers know as REBOOTS since nobody seems to have any good ideas anymore (and worse the comic book made up stuff shown here suggests reboot overhaul negating even MM2 and Thunderdome stories, so total BS for me, or rather, a complete unrelated narrative). To be honest, Thunderdome was already “rebooting” ideas of the previous films. But for Christ sake they are LONG forward in time after Walker crashed his plane. Max would have been a child himself, as those kids were not all even born yet to be as feral as they were, barely speaking properly. The implication was always Walker and any other adults, after establishing the oasis and having children there, left the kids safe there and NEVER CAME BACK. The teen/adults there had vague memories and confusion, but had already been having children of their own, not having any adult to educate them. Jeez I just don’t get what is so hard to understand there.

  4. Not bad as a rough outline of the movies, but it is rough.
After all, I didn't know Johnny the boy was the boyfriend of the hijacked and raped couple…..
Oh wait, he wasn't, after that this becomes beer and peanuts fodder.

  5. Dude, Mad Max is very important cinema to some of us and you have got alot wrong in the first 5 mins. This franchise is one of my all time favourites and my feeling is you have probably come in at Fury Road and maybe watched the earlier ones maybe once or twice. You have confused Johnny the boy for the boyfriend. The reason Johnny is spouting shit is because he was high on H. You should really correct that if you want to be taken seriously.

  6. I really want to see what's going on in other countries during all these Mad Max movies.
Like maybe tomorrow morrowland Is somewhere in America? Or Japan?
I doubt it but it would just be really interesting. Because in mortal engines it said that every country is like this.. But yet certain countries are different and have different ways of mobilizing their cities.
So I don't really see how it would be any different with the Mad Max franchise. I'd love to see a movie where the drive across a dried up ocean or something like that and go to a different country and we get to see all sorts of new stuff.. like if it was America we would get to see crazy long Mad Max trains. Or in Japan it might go more feudal.. And have less cars overall. But it would be a lot more like a crazy and wacky version of ancient samurai… I don't know. There's lots of cool stuff, especially with the Japan thing because it's close enough to Australia

  7. Well in the fact that Mad Max is a reboot literally lends Credence to the idea that these are Legends passed down through the wasteland.
Who knows was Mad Max a girl with Mad Max a man was he's 60 or was he 30? And when did any of this take place? It doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things because he always had the interceptor and it always gets destroyed and like every single movie.
And it again is just a testament to there's these stories of this legendary person, but it's probably honestly multiple people.

  8. Im enjoying the new saga so far. Furiosa was a great prequel and a smart move. If it was a sequel and no liked it then the 3rd and 4th probably wouldnt have made it.

However if its a prequel and didnt do so hot, atleast they can still save it by "learning" what people liked and dint like and make a banger sequel.

  10. This vid is BS, dude making up shit. The cause of the apocalypse is explained in the prologue in the first Mad Max movie and is deliberately vague. None of what is said in this vid about the cause is true as this is not what is said in the first movie. Don't make up shit by intermingling actual history. The lore is the lore and you don't get to say what it is.

  11. That wasn’t the boyfriend spouting gibberish it was Johnny the boy one of toe cutters gang, the newest recruit who was a rapist and overall nut job, so desperate to prove his worth to the gang he would follow orders without question, he was a real douche bag and completely deserved what max and goose did to him. Only goose got burned for it and max’s family paid the price for his involvement.
