  1. S2 Map Theory: The C-Con had so much control over the zone that the zone "folded up", distorting space itself and in the time between SoC and S2 the zone "unfolded" again to its true geography. Would also explain why SoC and CS feel so fever-dreamy, as opposed to CoPs more "grounded" feeling.

  2. Don’t know if you have any interest in this type of games, but the Ace Combat series is a very good series with alot of lore/story that i would love to hear your perspective on!

  3. Stalker has never been strong in the story and main plot, but in Stalker 2 everything has reached a completely new level. The same Strider from a mysterious Monolith member with a difficult fate from Call of Pripyat has turned into the best and most tragic character in the entire series.

  5. My go-to theory is that flashbacks happening after Skif touches the artifact in his ending are the visions he had. This artifact can be a monolith shard urging Skif to venture into the zone to set it free. At least, this way his motivation is more explained than “My apartment was destroyed”

  6. Technically Renegades or bandits that took over a renegade base can be found in STALKER 2.

When accepting a quest for barkeep he sends you to the Red Forest to kill some bandits. Their buildings garage door has a Renegade Scorpion logo. Either these bandits are still Renegades or the Renegades guarding the Limansk Bridge in Clear Sky used it as their HQ and evacuated the compound after they found a route towards limansk.

  7. >Stalker 2's map is a little confusing

That's due to illusions caused by psi radiation once you enter the Zone. That's why every map from the games (including the standalone mods) has never been the same.

  8. saying this before watching this video**
(not the best way of wording it because I'm not the smartest LOL)
typing this now my memory might be a little fuzzy
i know they're technically not part of it but the other video I watched about SOC briefly mentioned how the wish granter had some inspirations or similarity's to a movie from the 19?0s and a book similar detailing or mentioning the S..T.A.L.K.E.R acronym

just thought it was a cool detail 🙂

  9. Heck Yea we goin in the Metros, this was a great and comprehensive video. Most of the older stalker games are hard to run on newer systems sadly. Can't predict how computers will evolve and all that jazz, and while i was spoiled (did to myself) for Stalker 2 i have a horrible memory so i still have hope to purchase it in the near future.

  10. My theory regarding the ending of Skif is as follows: Let's assume that the Zone is a manifestation of the collective subconscious (i.e. the noosphere). After the destruction of the C-Consciousness, the Zone gains some kind of self-awareness and now exists on its own, as it pleases, but still within the framework established by the C-Consciousness. After Skif goes into the capsule, he, de facto, removes all restrictions. Kaimanov, who actually stood at the origins of the Zone's formation, but did not become one of its tyrannical patrons, does not so much die in the end as "merge" with the noosphere as a result of the emission. Faust, through the prism of the Monolith, perceived the Zone as a greater good, so my suspicion is that the Zone also "absorbed" him after his death. Therefore, both Faust and Kaimanov, whom Skif sees at the end, are only an emanation of the Zone, communicating perhaps not so much with Skif as with the player, breaking the fourth wall. This is supported by the fact that Faust is blind, but when we see him in his deathbed illusion and at the end of the game, he is sighted. At least, this is my canon – at the end of the game, the Zone, through Kaimanov-Faust, addresses the Skif-player.

  11. One thing that confuses me is that when we first see Faust, his eyes are milky white and he’s said to be blind. Yet every encounter after shows his eyes normally? Since he’s a controller and can cast illusions I figure it’s one of his illusions and he can see? Or maybe he IS blind and seeing his “real” eyes is meant to signify we’re seeing an illusion of him? Confused

  12. Good video. Just a small complaint, i played all 3 previous games years ago and started S2 a few days ago. I wanted to watch this video to refresh my memories of the previous games. Not spoil myself for S2, so after not quite half of the video i need to stop watching since you show multiple scenes from S2 that are quite deep in the game i believe.

  13. Very educational and informative video,
unfortunately after by hearing you say "see" instead of "psy" I have no other options but to visit my seechiatrist, and due to levels of seechic shock i've suffered from hearing this I'm guaranteed to end up in the seech ward.

I just hope by the time I'm out nobody will look at me like I'm some kind of seecho 🙁
