Originally from singer/guitarist Craig ‘Mac’ McDonald’s album “Pies, Pasties and Rock ‘n’ Roll”, Waxworks performed by his band The Clan, supporting Wolfsbane at The Tivoli in Buckley/Bwcle.
Attending this gig was a last minute decision, booking the tickets about 30 minutes before doors opened, then driving 60 miles to get there. I missed the other opening act (B4 Time) but got there just before The Clan came on stage. It was the first time that I heard them and I was immediately transported back to the NWOBHM era (it turns out Mac was a part of that movement, in the band Sinner). I really enjoyed their performance and bought both CDs at the merch table (“Second Helpings: Pies, Pasties and Rock ‘n’ Roll – Live” and “Grim Reality”).
You can find them at clan-rock.com for more “Good Time Feel Good Rock”.
