The Chernobyl Disaster happened on the 26th of April 1986 in the USSR, Modern Day Ukraine.
The disaster would release radioactive waste over Eastern Europe, Belarus, Russia and Ukraine.

What's sad about the recent developments is that Russia may have been forgiven if their government has taken a sober look at the situation 40 years ago and corrected their mindset on health and safety following the chain of events that lead to this disaster. But the fact that they still devalue human life to the point of sending their own soldiers into an area they know best of anyone will kill them painfully and slowly is just sad.
will you cover the palomares incident? In 1066 a nuclear loaded B-52 had a midair collision with its tanker and crashed in the spanish town of palomares. 4 thermonuclear bombs fell to the surface. Two of them had the conventional explosives detonating on impact, igniting the plutonium and contaminating parts of the town of palomares with radioactive material. Since then the population of the town has been under medical survey by USAF doctors and some of the US forces used in the cleanup did develop radiation related tumors. At the time, the whole incident was played down both by spanish dictatorship and the USA authorities.
If you take a look at the fact how many accidents happend with nuclear powerstations and reactors you can come to only one conclusion, we are not ready for nuclear power we little of no knowlege of what it can do and how much dammage it does when it go's wrong. Chernobyl is a good example and there are many more accidents in the USA China and so on they where maby not as bad as in chernobyl but realy close to a major disaster. And seeing all this they still want to use nuclear weapons in a third world war abd we all know the outcome no winner and no loser only millions of death people and mass destruction and large area's of nuclear waste land even the city near chernobyl is still highly radio active and not fit to live there so what have we learned from all this NOTHING the usa have nuclear missiles that can destroy the earth 200 times over Russia has enough to destroy the earth a 100 times over but what is the use nothing at all its commonly known that the USA and Russia love war and would do anything to get one the usa keeps on provoking other country's that also have nuclear missiles like Korea and china but they don't realize that if they get hit by a gew thousand missile the usa will not be there anymore other then a huge strech of nuclear waste land and a lot of death people and destoyed city's. Even today people die of nuclear sicknes or other health problems in Nagasaki and Hiroshima and who did that right our war loving friends the United states of Amerika.
Its crazy… cuz of chernobyl i was born… my mother wouldve never met my father 😮
Makes me both angry and heartbroken. All these years later and the site is still badly contaminated. Humans, what a dreadful species we are.
ah yes chicken KEEV my favorite
Apparently, the Russian troops only had one good dosemeter, locked in a safe that no one had the key to
Would the smaller brains seen on birds be a factor of the birds being away from heavily populated areas by humans or the contamination?
I have an AirBnb at the Chernobyl if anyone is interested.
"Not Great, Not Terrible" I see what you did there 😉
This will make you cringe and laugh https://youtu.be/dy_3m-9nOGw
And yet there's people living in that forest and have been till a ripe old age and in fantastic health
"We are experiencing an unfortunate radiation incident."
It leaking again it trubble big is
People should know it was called the Vladimir Ilyich Lenin nuclear power plant as that was who it was named after. I guess people called it The Chernobyl Nuclear plant or people never learnt it's history.
"self deconstruction" is as beautiful as "rapid unscheduled disassembly" 😀
Very educational video, thank you for posting
How many YouTube documentary people are there now…
6:36 tree was fashioned into shape of Ukrainian iconic Russ trident symbol.
Why this video finally helped me wake up to connection, was getting to see it as a drawn silhouette.
As an arborist now I'm really excited to try growing one myself.
It's so similar to a North American Trail marker tree once fashioned by indigenous tribes throughout Midwest and East Coast.
"The self deconstruction of reactor four…" This made me laugh so hard. Well done.
That historical tree is really interesting- I never knew about it, and I have researched this topic for years! I can see why you have an attachment to it. Great video, thanks.
Are kilometers longer if they go north to south? Wait, do you even use north and south? Anyway, miles stay the same east/west and north/south.
What clean up
I’m wondering since so many piles were killed did this happen effect on the Afghan war?
U can punish me or whatever but I ain't cleaning there fuck ups, 🤣
Unbelievable thank the moscovites AGAIN for potentially causing another nuclear catastrophe!
And please do not call it the Russian Ukrainian war. Call it for what it is an illegal Russian invasion
what i don,t understand that reactor 1-2 and 3 after this still workingwhit full power as nothing is learn from the fire fighters till the liquidaters whit 100 thousands of deaths and it goes on and on its a disgracesto all mutant animals and mutant people whit birth diffi
Chernobyl's like that kinda scab you get that keeps opening up and bleeding and will never heal no matter how long you leave it alone for.
Ukraine's gotten enough of the worlds money
